this album http://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Present-From-Zero-Hour/dp/B000003YSD has three of my all time favorite christmas songs on it (not entirely shoegaze).

Kittywinder's I don't want to hear no merry Christmas is perfect as is Shallow's Santa Clause you broke my heart.

Oh man, that's a question. The guitar is one of those crappy Ibanez GIOs with a fucked up tremolo so I can bend up and down. It's a bitch to keep in tune, ha.

TC Hall of Fame, Z. Vex Fuzz Factory, and a Realistic Electronic Reverb were the only pedals I used for guitar. A lot of the sound was driven by my amp, a Vox AD50VT and the slew of amp models and onboard effects.

The drum machine was an Alesis SR-16 ran through a Hot Rod

Vocals many times were also recorded through the Hall of Fame

There was also a lot of production work in Sonar: organizing loops, reverb, eq, etc. I like the Waves plugins a lot.

I put the Realistic in front of the Hall of Fame in the chain because it acts as a sort of slapback and fuzz, and the modulation from the Hall of Fame reacts really well to it

Mics are crappy MXLs. Guitars, drum machine, and bass were all direct input into a Tascam US-1641

Nothing really nice in the traditional sense, I guess, but I sure love this junk :)

Maybe a tremolo pedal? I've been eying this one on amazon.

Super cheap and the reviews are solid.

The foam ones they give out restrain too much sound. I was in the second row and I couldn't hear much. I had to take them half way out and adjust them every 5 minutes to reach a comfortable level of loudness. I'd recommend getting silicone ones made for musicians with reduction less than 20 dB

That whole album sounded kinda nice, it's only $9 right now on Amazon. I'd really advise checking it out, https://www.amazon.com/YELLOW-LOVELESS-JAPAN-TRIBUTE-V/dp/B00B2Z2DUC

I use the Vivitar LB80 smart bulbs. They're fairly inexpensive; been slowly decking out the whole house.

Love this song. The version on Live at the Albert Hall is truly epic with an intro of Oh Happy Day building into a noisy crescendo and abruptly going directly into Shine A Light. I can't find it on Youtube or anywhere but this live version from the out of print Fucked Up Inside album is really good too.

> M B V more if I had the record but I never got it because it was and is $40.

If you have amazon prime, you can get it for 20

As long as you can manage to navigate this you can get a physical copy delivered, or you can find it on iTunes here or another digital edition here.

My dude, I just recently bought my first tube amp at an affordable price. Dunno if this is what you're looking for, but check this out:

Amazon's got them now

  • Distressor EP || (Physical Copies)

  • Pipe Dreams LP || (Physical copies)

Be warned though, I bought the Distressor 12" from that link above, and the guy who runs the label is extremely sketchy. Took me 2 months to get mine and he never answers emails or anything. I guess he also screwed over the band and doesn't send them any of the money. I heard from one of the members that the EP is going to be repressed by Graveface records, so if I were to do it again I'd probably wait for that.
