Well you want to do something "computer based" but you 1.) are not "wired" for programming, 2.) do not have the funds to invest in photo editing software and 3.) lack the creativity for Pixel Art.

Here is my recommendation. Invest in a Hand Held Detail Vacuum and download CC Cleaner and/or Malware Bytes to a thumb drive and market yourself as The PC Cleaner. For a flat fee of $XX you will internally clean a PC and speed it up using CC Cleaner and Malware Bytes - all in home.

Crane Games, Claw Machines, and UFO Catchers
These are currently growing like crazy in Asia and there is still a good opportunity to get in at ground level in western countries.
The first section is aimed more at fans, but the second part has everything you need to know to set up a crane game business.
\>They don't last, finding them is a pain and they're definitely not cheap.

Don't know that that is accurate. I'm moving in a month and I just bought a load of the below. The tartan bags pack up really small and can be kept and the plastic boxes can be re-used for storage going forwards. Only the cardbord boxes are 'single' use, really.

\> Usually I end up taking them to the recycling center and end up paying more for the boxes just to toss them afterwards.

Maybe recycling near you is expensive in which case maybe there is a market, but lots of places it is free, or people will just put them in the trash for no cost.

\> Refubishing - Each box will have to be inspected and cleaned thoroughly before renting out again. One question I have is how would I charge for damaged boxes?

Some amount of damage is going to have to be accepted and inspecting the condition and charging the client is going to take you forever and will just lose you customers. Better to build in some wear and tear to your price and accept some losses over time. Happy customers mean more customers going forwards. Maybe if the boxes are full of shit you can hose them out but you're going to spend a lot of time if you're expecting to fully clean them each time.

One thought I do have is that companies will often rent boxes when moving. The company I work for has moved twice and has rented one ~70 litre box per person for 3-4 days. Might be another avenue to look into.
