I doubt it, but maybe. I think most portals are around $10 online. Personally, I bought mine in the starter pack for like $20, since I also wanted the game, figures and traps.

Looking on Amazon, there's a starter pack for the Wii at only $10. Even if you don't want the Wii version of that game or the figures, that's not a bad price just for the portal. The Wii's Trap Team portal will work with PS3, PS4 and Wii U versions of the game also.

It's a great option if you have Prime free two-day shipping. If you don't and you live in the US (not sure if the price is the same for this item elsewhere), you can always get the Prime trial, cancel it immediately and just use the remaining time on it to get the item shipped out to you for free.

Maybe you can get her a Whirlwind figure if breeze is her favorite and explain that breeze isn't out yet (Breeze is a mini of whirlwind). Even if it's not her favorite it might be nice. Looks like you can pick up the original Whirlwind for 5.99 on Amazon, it's a Spyro's Adventure figure which will work with all the skylander's games.

I just started collecting about two months ago and now have just about every Skylander plus a bunch of extras and rares. I literally went feral with collecting. Mostly I used my local classified for most of them. I got most of Spyro's and Giants this way for much cheaper than I would have gotten otherwise.

Also, amazon is a good way as well, especially since many people sell the figures used for much cheaper. In fact I've had several Skylanders on my wish list and wait till they go on sale. I actually just picked up the Spyro version from Swap Force today for $5.

If you want to be frugal then the 8-pack includes two traps that comes with the starter kit. So instead you could look into buying the two three-packs for $15 each, which will net you all 8 traps (assuming you have those from the starter kit, of course) and save yourself $10. :)

Spyro the Dragon is my favorite video game series of all time (both the classic, legend of Spyro series, and I guess if you count the first Skylanders game) so I collected all the spyro characters lol

The dragon fly was a magic item that you can't control, in my short search I couldn't find him loose on Amazon.

Keep in mind there are other sites/poses for spyro and cynder. Do you know which game they have?

Many of the amazon reviews for Trap Team for the Wii mention the game freezing at the Dreamcatcher level. So it's probably a problem with the software, not your specific disc. Some of the comments describe a work around by finishing the level in a specific way.
