Here's the social media I could find. Maybe too soon, but it's gonna happen anyway.

Sorry this is so long, but I can't find another way to make it readable. I'll add more as more is found. Please post if you find anything good in here, I didn't review it all!

Mike's dad, Mel, is a super cool guy, for anyone who doesn't know. He's a gay pastor who was something of a trailblazer in fighting for LGBTQ+ acceptance in Christianity. He and Mike were great on the Amazing Race, and this letter is hilarious. Does anyone know if Mel is Mike's loved one next week?

EDIT: Since this comment got some attention, I'll point anyone interested to Mel's memoir, Stranger at the Gate.

You definitely need a little snuffer to extinguish the candles instead of blowing them out.

You can easily do:

  • one of the many balance challenges (you can even incorporate a pool if you like)

  • touchy subjects (instead of getting three "hits", take one of three shots after someone hits you). Better once everyone's a bit lubricated from booze.

  • hidden immunity island hunt

If you want Survivor in a box I highly recommend the board game Dead Last. It's basically like going to tribal council over and over again. Plays 6-12.

As far as getting the episodes onto your tv, it's going to depend on what type of computer you have and what inputs you have on your tv.

A lot of newer computers have HDMI outs and if your TV has an HDMI in it's as straight forward as just connecting the two with an HDMI cord.

-----

If the computer is older, there is a good chance you have an S-Video out. Assuming your TV has an S-Video in, you'll need an S-Video cord.

If your computer doesn't have an S-Video or HDMI out, it definitely has a VGA out. VGA doesn't convert well to standard TV in's but there is a chance, if your TV is newer, that it will have a VGA in. If it does, you can connect with a VGA cord.

If none of the above options work and you're really desperate you can use a VGA to HDMI converter which is pricey. Obviously, your TV would need an HDMI in.

Now, the three solutions below the hyphens are only for video. For Audio you're going to need to run out of your headphone jack which can be done with a cord like this. You'll need to make sure that you match the audio cords to the video channel (the video jacks and corresponding audio jacks are usually next to each other on the TV). If you have a separate speaker system, you can also run the sound straight into that.

The Daniel Lue 2004 calender is one of my favorite Amazon pages of all-time. Just check out the reviews:

"Nice looking guy, but no nudity, and all the pictures are of him. This wasn't stated in the sales literature....was expecting maybe many guys, with the photographer's name being Lue. They were unclear."

"If you own the Mary-Kate and Ashley calendar you will notice many similarities such as 12 months and many days and a photo for each month. If you are concerned about the appropriateness, don't be because pants are worn throughout the calendar. It makes a great centrepiece for your Thanksgiving dinner, simply add autumn leaves and dried cranberry. You'll forget you don't eat turkey!"

"This is one cool calendar if i had a nickle for every really cool calender i saw i wouldn't have many but i'd have one for this because its cool"

A really fun book you can get is Andy Roddick Beat Me with a Frying Pan. The author gets pro athletes to compete is basically bar bets, like playing tennis against Roddick where Roddick has to use a frying pan. The book shows how insanely seriously the pro athletes take competition no matter how silly. It's a really fun read.

Jeff Probst wrote a book called stranded.

A family vacation becomes a game of survival!
It was supposed to be a vacation--and a chance to get to know each other better. But when a massive storm sets in without warning, four kids are shipwrecked alone on a rocky jungle island in the middle of the South Pacific. No adults. No instructions. Nobody to rely on but themselves. Can they make it home alive?

A week ago, the biggest challenge Vanessa, Buzz, Carter, and Jane had was learning to live as a new blended family. Now the four siblings must find a way to work together if they're going to make it off the island. But first they've got to learn to survive one another

Tina has a book called "Out Live, Out Laugh, Out Love" where she talks about her Survivor strategy and relates it to her life. I haven't read it, but thought I'd mention it.

I'd never heard about that, either.

>To many of the trans people I've communicated with, Jeff was not simply saying Zeke was deceitful, but that to be trans is to be deceitful. On national television no less. Whether he means it in his heart or not is sort of beside the point.

When people have said 'he didn't mean it' I believe they are referring to the outing, period. Varner never said being trans was deceitful, in fact he immediately said the opposite. You could argue that he equivocated with his whole 'capability to deceive' logic, but that's the extent of what you can accuse him of. This reminds me of the myth that Vietnam veterans were 'spat on' when they came home from the war. How the audience has interpreted these events, for good or for bad, has got to be attributed more to the producers who set this up and neatly edited it for us, the national tv audience.
