There's a great book called "Tales from the Toolbox" which is stories from mechanics etc... from that era. That's a really fun read. https://www.amazon.ca/Tales-toolbox-Michael-Oliver-ebook/dp/B009RUC638/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1550261258&sr=8-1&keywords=tales+from+the+toolbox
There's also "The Last Road Race" which is a fascinating read. https://www.amazon.ca/Last-Road-Race-Williams-2004-03-01/dp/B01K144S6Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1550261297&sr=8-1&keywords=pescara+last+road+race
I really enjoyed "The Limit: Life and Death on the 1961 Grand Prix Circuit" even though if you know your racing history you know how it's going to end. https://www.amazon.ca/Limit-Life-Death-Grand-Circuit/dp/0446554731/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1550261323&sr=8-1&keywords=the+limit
The best though for me was "Cars at Speed" by Robert Daley. At a time when racing was very romanticized and the carnage and loss of life was glossed over, he covered the sport honestly. It's harsh reading in spots but captures the era beautifully. https://www.amazon.ca/CARS-AT-SPEED-Grand-Golden-ebook/dp/B0091XMXJI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1550261411&sr=8-1&keywords=cars+at+speed+robert+daley
And if you want something a little different, "Go Like Hell" is about Ferrari vs Ford at Le Mans, and that's a great read as well. https://www.amazon.ca/Go-Like-Hell-Ferrari-Battle-ebook/dp/B003K16PBY/ref=pd_sim_351_6/132-9271315-8602668?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B003K16PBY&pd_rd_r=b3ff6727-315d-11e9-acf9-71fc83dc301e&pd_rd_w=GnFre&pd_rd_wg=bQUij&pf_rd_p=29a85b27-a36a-4f8d-94ca-61aa962c5f39&pf_rd_r=R7RP2WR2JFDKZGV00V91&psc=1&refRID=R7RP2WR2JFDKZGV00V91
And Sid Watkins (former F1 doctor who is a big part of why the death rate dropped in F1) has a great autobiography. https://www.amazon.ca/Life-At-Limit-Triumph-Tragedy-ebook/dp/B00BQF6RBO/ref=pd_sim_351_4/132-9271315-8602668?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00BQF6RBO&pd_rd_r=b3ff6727-315d-11e9-acf9-71fc83dc301e&pd_rd_w=GnFre&pd_rd_wg=bQUij&pf_rd_p=29a85b27-a36a-4f8d-94ca-61aa962c5f39&pf_rd_r=R7RP2WR2JFDKZGV00V91&psc=1&refRID=R7RP2WR2JFDKZGV00V91
Hope this helps you out. I've read all these and they're all great. (Actually I did The Limit via audiobook. It's on Audible.)

Yeah, it turns out my TV had it right up front, rather than the standard version. I wanted to add it to my watchlist from the computer, but since it was featured it didn't matter much. In fact, being on a HDR capable set had everything from Amazon defaulting to the UHD bannered versions. In case you haven't tried fighting this yourself though, observe:
https://www.amazon.com/Man-High-Castle-Season/dp/B00RSGIVVO
vs
https://www.amazon.com/Man-High-Castle-Season-Ultra/dp/B00RZYUJN2
It makes it annoying to do list manipulation on something with a keyboard, but technically doable since the apps know what you can do and pick for you.
Anyway, yes, this show does look amazing in the full HDR glory.
Can confirm, I can watch the free first episode of The Man in the High Castle at Amazon US in Finland without Prime, without U.S. billing address. After signing up for Prime I was able to watch the other episodes, too.
However, looks like the Amazon US billing / signup system won't let you get the Video-only Prime ($8.99/mo) without a U.S. billing address: http://i.imgur.com/ivp9xy6.png
When signing up for a full Prime ($10.99/mo or $99/y), one still gets a warning that Prime Video will not be available, though with those it actually lets the user continue the signup: http://i.imgur.com/x6ENIRY.png
edit: The Watch Abroad help page seems to suggest this is for U.S. customers who travel abroad, though, so I'm not 100% sure this is intended to work like this. But maybe they will launch it officially as a worldwide service soon...
edit 2: Amazon Germany and Amazon UK Prime sign-up pages (Germany, UK) allowed me to sign up for the Video-only monthly plan as well, unlike the US sign-up page. Similarly, I tested The Man in the High Castle and it was viewable.
Outstanding article. Here is a list of DVD sets (some for as little as $6 USD), which I welcome and encourage the community to use, modify and spread as desired:

This is, indeed, the wuhlst day...in the wuhld.
This book is a great write up about the story.
I was fortunate enough to grow up around this exact car, as my dad had rebuilt it and maintained it for a previous owner. It was really cool to see it on this show, he even teared up a little seeing it again after shipping it off to the new owner over 10 years.

A lot of 'behind the scenes' sort of stuff in this book, although from a scriptwriter's viewpoint. I have enjoyed it twice. Quite funny!

Of course if you are buying bulk Hershey's "chocolate" for 50 cents a bar you can't expect much. Go down the candy aisle and look at the more expensive chocolates, they tend to be 100% milk chocolate and tastes much better. This is one of my favorite chocolate treats you can buy that don't taste like crap.
Same, it all started for me with watching Top Gear videos on YouTube. I didn't even know Top Gear was an actual show until almost 5 years later when I saw it on TV and after a few minutes recognized the voices and name from the YouTube videos I'd watched years ago. That's what really got me into cars. I was already into cars a bit, well like 3 cars, becuase of this book.
Sounds like an absolutely perfect road trip

Found it on Amazon.
Maybe just a "screw-holding screwdriver"? https://www.amazon.com/Klein-Tools-K36-Screw-Holding-Screwdriver/dp/B00207P4G6/
May addressed that in the video. If the electricity to split water comes from renewable sources that would have been wasted anyway it's a good way to store that otherwise wasted energy. Solar hydrogen is the fuel of the future, and the future is now.
One of Clarkson's books is called What could possibly go wrong.
