In their book, The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Performance, Phinney and Volek recommend SuperStarch as a way of supplying the glucose needed for high intensity exercise w/o affecting your continued ketosis.
It supplies a small amount of glucose, slowly, so that there is still fat to ketones production, with glucose for the high intensity exercise. The purpose is to preserve keto-adaptation, a state they encourage.
Do people really keep butter in the fridge if they use it often? We've always used one of these porcelain dishes and I've never seen butter go bad.
Regardless, I like this because it's delightful!
Sounds like a potential allergy. Try a different type of protein. There are options like egg, vegan, goat milk, etc to experiment with until you pinpoint your problem.

I use this stuff called Nuun, it is an unsweetened tablet that dissolves in whatever you drop it in. Has all your needed "iums" (sodium, potassium, magnesium) to get you through the day if you're like me and don't eat a ton of salt and avocados. Amazon link
