Based on few things you shared,
If you want basic briefs, FTL size XL would be inexpensive and easy to try out. Generally have the best fit, fabric feels better after washing.

Sometimes guys feel more comfortable wearing briefs if it’s something higher end like Calvin Klein, so if you wanted to go that route would recommend the CK Basic briefs size XL

As an overall piece of advice with sizing, if you’re a set size like small buy that. However if you’re between sizes, for example between medium and large, generally go with the larger size. Other underwear you don’t notice the size difference as much, but with briefs, undersizing can easily make them unwearable and uncomfortable.

Yeah, they’re Mossy Oak. I have that same pair. Walmart doesn’t sell them anymore. As I found them in an excess leftover merchandise store. Stuff that is leftover from other stores they they couldn’t sell and want gone.
