Not a prob! Always happy to help.

The ACV bar's shipping is a bit pricey, but it helps to get several of them at once to make it cheaper. It also helps if you don't shampoo daily, lol. If you haven't yet, I'd also check out Worm's thread on HLT if you want up-to-date assessments on Zix, as well as his formula.

I understand your hesitation with LLLT. There's a lot of controversy surrounding it and I definitely wouldn't touch the combs with a 20-foot pole. The helmets, however, have been put through the ringer many times and I do feel like a good majority of them can definitely help. Again, I'd look through the scientific studies and testimonials rather than just online anecdotes (including my own!) if you want a more professional breakdown on them.

Here's the taurine I currently use and the curcumin I used before trying a more thorough one with resveratrol that ended up being more expensive and hurt my interest quite a bit, lol. I'll make it clear that I'm not a shill! I'm just sharing what I've found worked decently for me without massively raping my wallet. =)

I have faith we'll get an update and solid pics. This looks to be the most promising treatment we've got so far that doesn't involve surgery or "just 5 more years of waiting." On the offhand chance we don't, I'll almost certainly be getting on Super Minox. We gotta hold that line something fierce!

Comments:

Proscar itself is used for BHP treatment, but it's LITERALLY exactly what Propecia is, but in 5x the dose. It wouldn't be fradulent to obtain it and use it at a propecia dose to treat hairloss.

Don't crush the pills. Use a pill cutter and cut them into 4ths. I use that exact same kind/brand, and it works great.

Pregnant women should not handle crushed/cut pills, so make sure your wife/girlfriend doesn't touch them. I am married, and my wife knows that she's not to touch them. I keep the quarter pill INSIDE the pill cutter so that it doesn't accidentally get touched or anything. Also, the reason that they shouldn't touch them is that it can get absorbed through the skin, and could mess with the development of a male fetus. HOWEVER, the tests that were done on monkeys found that it would take approx 20mg (or 200x the propecia dose) for there to actually be problems. There's no way anyone's going to accidentally take 20 pills. But the fact that, even though it takes an EXTREMELY HIGH does, that warning has to be put on the label.

Questions:

You said you recently discovered the potential Gyno side effect. Did you notice the tenderness in your nipples before, or after you found out about the side effect? If you found out about it and THEN noticed something, then I wouldn't worry about it too much yet. Why not? Well, because you really had no reason to pay attention to how your nipples felt before. Do you REALLY know how they feel every day? Now you have it on your mind, so you're going to be HYPER aware of it. Think of it like this...normally (I assume) you go about your day not really worrying about your wallet. But if I told you "Hey, today someone's going to try to steal your wallet" you'd CONSTANTLY be thinking about it and aware of it. You'd notice every time someone brushed up against you while you were walking down the street, and you'd feel for your wallet 1000 times that day to make sure it was still there.

I really hope I don't come across as preachy...but have you thought about bringing that body fat down? I also speak from experience. I was at 19.6% BF at one point, but I lost 30lbs then put back on muscle. Just my overall life has improved from it, and it's in my top 3 best things I've ever done in my life (Marriage, and Propecia being the other 2!). If you are interested, I can give you advice on that too.

Summary:

Good for you for doing something about your loss, and thanks for the update!

Melatonin can be found @$2.35/gram [here] (http://www.powdercity.com/products/melatonin-powder). Caffeine [here] (http://www.powdercity.com/products/caffeine-anhydrous-powder). You only need a few mg's / 60 ml minox ;-)

Some of the other chemicals mentioned can be a bit harder to find. These dissolve really well in the minox solution however after adding a bit of extra ethanol. As far as the morning topical is concerned, everything dissolves in the minox solution. The evening topical contains several oils and fatty acids, I had to add some of my own glycol and ethanol to get a clear(ish) solution. Amentoflavone (st johns worth, gingko), rosemary oil, SP from iHerb. You also really need [one of these] (http://www.amazon.com/American-Weigh-GEMINI-20-Portable-MilliGram/dp/B0012TDNAM/) btw.

This stuff is pretty good

As far as the hairloss, just make due for now. Technology should get better over the next few years. There is also the option of beard transplants which is cheaper and less demanding than a hair transplant if you are a high norwood. Just exercise, eat right, and relax. You can also try minoxidil or Finasteride. The latter has some side effects though, so be wary.

It's this: https://www.amazon.com/Scalpmaster-SC20-Shampoo-Brush-Purple/dp/B000NJG82W

It removes dandruff as you shower. Pretty much required on minoxidil to be flake free, too.

I have done research on this and would offer a couple of suggestions to try out:

  1. Your blood test will likely measure CRP (I hope it did). CRP is a non-specific test for inflammation so it will average out all the areas and wont tell you a lot.
  2. Try using tea tree oil (10%) + coconut oil (90%) mixture on the head. This has really good antifungal and antiseptic properties. You might also get a shampoo with tea tree oil.
  3. Start eating a pill of bio available curcumin supplement. It kills inflammation like a badass. You can get any of those with BCM 95. I take this in case you want a recommendation. https://www.amazon.com/Life-Extension-Bio-Curcumin-Vegetarian-Capsules/dp/B000X9P5GM

  4. If these fail, go see a Trichologist. Sorry to say this, but hair derms dont look with a microscope at your scalp, and a trichologist is usually way more equipped to help you.

Thanks. If I were tight on funds and time, I'd probably narrow it down to these three.

NatureWise Vitamin D3 5,000 IU 2x a day in the morning.

Now Supplements Glycine 1000mg Between 1-6 grams per day, depending on your stress levels. Probably best used before bed.

NOW Solutions, Castor Oil 1 tbsp per day (5 mL)

As I learn more about Glycine, I'm starting to think it may have been the difference maker. It's relieved chronic stress that I was stuck under the past few years.

I'd also reccomend avoiding strict, low-calorie diets. Don't avoid or cut out carbs.

I try to wash my hair with colder water, which usually means warm not hot, and I use a microfibre towel because it's better for longer hair - https://www.amazon.com/Aquis-Microfiber-Towel-Celadon-39-Inches/dp/B000AMDOAQ

Hey I don't really have much that could answer the questions you asked in your post.

But I think you may be interested in this product: https://www.amazon.com/TOPPIK-Hair-Building-Fibers-Brown/dp/B000CBVAQ0/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1468994021&sr=8-1&keywords=Topikk

I haven't bought it and don't have the need for it^yet but I think it could help you get a fuller look for your hair!

I'm sorry you're going through this. The horrors of going through hair loss as a man seems minuscule compared to that of a woman in my opinion. Hang in there.

I use OGX Caffeine and Saw Palmetto Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as 320mg of this everyday.

u/anal_bifurcation · 1 pointr/tressless

I use this one, but for $20 I assume any one you buy will all be good enough to get the job done but not of supreme quality:
https://www.amazon.com/Microscope-Bysameyee-Magnification-Endoscope-Compatible/dp/B07SR7YPV5/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?keywords=Digital+microscope&qid=1562844609&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1#immersive-view_1562844666729

Also as a cartridge's needles dull, it feels more painful. That is another useful indicator to switch.

I'm not sure about it only treating the crown. I only have problems with my crown so I've never paid attention to it. I always do apply it to my temples though. I just go full on costco brand off of amazon
or something.
