Awesome! I've had my pax over a year and I'm still loving it. It still hits like a champ and the cleaning is to me easier than its made out to be. The stealthiness of it amazing. I've told a bouncer its a portable battery or an ecig and gotten no questions. Just a heads up the very first time cooking a fresh bowl definitely smells like weed. All vaping smells some, but that first heating and first few hits are by far the strongest. After that is gets much less pungent. If I'm packing it at home before going to a venue I'm nervous about, I'll take the first 2-3 hits at home. Out of a full oven I can get 3-6 good sessions with stirring, depending on the weed and people.

Here's a couple tips I've picked up.

Be careful of the mouthpiece spring. It's deceptively strong and will launch your mouthpiece to dark places. Also, when pushing down the mouthpiece to lock it, the "sweet spot" is juuuuust before all the way down. It's hard to explain. But you can actually push the mouthpiece down too far and it won't always lock. My first time using it I was pissed because it wasn't locking. But I was pushing it too hard and past the lock point. Pushing it down lighter was the answer.

Dental brushes dipped in alcohol work great for scrubbing out the oven and mouthpiece and can be purchased at any store/pharmacy. The lube is food grade propylene glycol and can be purchased at certain stores or online for cheap. Such as
Rub a few drops on/inside the mouthpiece tube every time you clean it to keep it from sticking.

When you're cleaning it be careful of getting the temp change button wet. If it gets wet, it will think it's on and the oven will start heating. That sucks if you are cleaning it and don't notice.

I've found its better to Charge the pax right side up with the charger on top. It helps makes sure that no resin leaks up the tube and is more stable.

If you rotate it on its long axis (doing a barrel roll) 3 times, it enters party mode and the front light flashes. This means it won't stop heating if it's kept still. Normally if it's kept still for a few seconds it goes "idle" and stops heating. The flashing light also looks pretty cool. You can also play Simon says against your pax by turning it on its long axis 7 times I think. YouTube has a good pax Simon says video with the steps. Both tricks are great when showing your pax to friends.

well my Arizer extreme Q is pretty stinky.

I don't know about other log Vapes, but like I said they kind of exceed that price

personally I like the xmax pro V2 (it's not in the video, but it's exactly like a boundless CF with an external battery), and get a smoke buddy to exhale through. you could do that while you're living there, and then when you move out get a bong; get the WPA and use it with bong it's way better

you want a smell proof case (edit as a note the case I have is just a pencil case not smell proof; it's the perfect size if I want to go somewhere cuz it'll hold the vape and two extra batteries and a doob tube. so normally I'll pack the vape, and that's enough for like four bowls) (I like the stuff here, extra batteries if you don't have them, and an external charger eventually.

3/4" pipe screens are must have for this vape as well. makes it so the weed doesn't drop out and there's less mess

edit also note, this is a session vape. so it may take much longer compared to an on-demand vape it really depends on what your use would be. I personally like getting high over like 45 minutes instead of like 10 minutes

u/Pus_sea · 1 pointr/vaporents

Had a slight new factory smell but once session at max temp with top off cleaned it out pretty well.

Don't use while fast charging. This will start to degrade the battery pretty fast and that's no bueno, if anything use the micro usb, but just pop it in charger 5-10 Mims and then use that'll charge it enough for a sesh.

I'd highly recommend getting the WPA if you have any bongs laying around it makes it rip even smoother

Some pure convection vapes benefit significantly from a micro-grinder, the cfx it isn't one that needs it but it helps a little. The hybrid heating means you can pop small nugs in almost lol.

Filling takes a couple bowls to master, they have an attachment to make it easier but I haven't tied it. I found pre grinding up like 4g and using a small scoop (what I got) to pack it helps. Don't need to over pack or compress.

u/NoddingWalrus · 3 pointsr/vaporents

Whatever vape you decide to get, you're better off buying it online. It's cheaper and you have more selection than your local shop.

As everyone on here (and out of here too, I bet), I can't recommend enough.

I'm no expert so definitely wait for other's inputs; just bear in mind that if you're going for the relaxed/sleep aid factor, you'll need a vape capable of doing high temperatures.
What I can tell you is vape smell is nothing compared to proper smoke. I very much doubt that the detector will go off with the vapor, especially if you're not exhaling right towards it. If that was the case, then the alarm would start when you're making pasta and the water is boiling in your pot, for example: the principle is the same.

I never had to worry about it 'cause I'm in a kinda legal country, but imho if you leave a window open no one would be any the wiser. I remember reading good things
about the smoke buddy, so that might be something worth looking into.

Enjoy your new hobby and please put down the bottle, is not doing you any favour!

Have a great day :)

I should've mentioned I bought the starter kit myself, and while I'm happy with it, I could have done without some of the extra bits since their parts are built to last anyway. My kit came with a triple burner torch (Amazon has a two pack for $17)that I like as well. Gets the cap to a vape temperature a bit faster, but does not perform as well as a single burner if you want to maximize your hits. Dynavap has a good video explaining the difference.

Sneaky Pete also made a good video with some heating tips.

If you decide to get one, enjoy! They are really fun devices and are pretty cheap to boot.

u/davo_nz · 3 pointsr/vaporents

The Tip can be replaced with the Titanium tip. that is it.

You can vape hash, just need to buy some organic (Japanese?) cotton or some degummed hemp to put below your hash so it doesn't drip or melt down into condenser.

Only the top of the M and the Cap get hot, but they cool down extremely fast (especially the Cap), and after a few mins you can easily get the cap off with your fingers.

It is definitely worth a purchase imo. Is very efficient and easy to use. Just love mine.

Making a simple but effective IH is so cheap and easy every Dynavap owner should do it.

IH instructions:

Here it is:

Power Supply Unit (PSU)

Glass insulator

Beyond this, all you need is 2 small wires (unbraided, thick copper wires will work best), cutters to make them, a small jeweler's screwdriver to screw them down, and a power strip for a poor-man's power switch. If you don't have any of these things, they are also cheap.

First, untwist your induction coil one wrap and spread it out and around the glass insulator slide to match the pic. This spacing gives you a 20-second light with a Ti vapcap sitting at the bottom, which is pretty heavy. If you want it lighter, either leave the coils tighter or just put a cork plug in the bottom of the tube to raise the bottom where the vapcap sits. You can get it down to about 4 seconds with this PSU. Basically, holding it in the center of the coil or keeping the coils tighter will speed it up. 20 seconds is ideal for me. Makes about 2-3 big bong rips per load.

Screw in the ends of the induction coil into the side closest to the circuit coils going in the same direction (see pic). Screw your 2 small wires into the other end of the circuit, and clip the other ends of the wires into the little adapter that comes with the PSU. Don't worry about polarity. The circuit simply won't work the wrong way (blue light won't come on).

Plug in the AC side of the PSU to your power strip (turned off) and the other end into the adapter that came with it, now clipped into your induction heater (this part is covered with tape in the pic, but it's as simple as it sounds).
Hit the power strip switch to operate. Be sure to turn it off before removing the vapcap so you don't forget. Forgetting will result in an overheating unit (yes, the coils get very hot very fast) and early failure. I had one circuit board melt this way. Pretty cheap if it happens but beware. I've used this one for many months now without issue just being mindful. Good luck!

u/tatanka01 · 1 pointr/vaporents

Yes -- they work well and are pretty simple to make. Here is the heating module. It runs on 12 Volts DC and the rest is really just how you package it. A lot of people put a glass tube inside the coil which is probably a good idea. Add a pushbutton or something to turn it on and off. The little heater can draw about 6.5 amps, so that's what the above discussion was about. Lightweight switches won't handle the 6.5 amps. I've run it off three 18650 batteries in series and it works fine - a little slower to heat, but my battery pack only puts out about 3 amps.

The heating module converts the 12 Volts DC to about 70 Volts AC at 200KHz to power the coil. I'd consider it a shock hazard when it's powered on. Never tested it, but I bet if you touch it right, it'll bite you. So, good idea to put it all in a nice box or something.

Seems common to use a glass slide for a guitar for the glass piece, but I've found that the replacement glass for a cloutank M3 is a better fit. The glass slide works, it's just bigger than it needs to be.

Haven't used a torch with the Dynavap in eons. It doesn't seem to need cleaning as often, either. 😊

ETA: The diagram says 20A minimum for the switch. I'd say 10A is plenty. My measurements say you're unlikely to ever draw 7 amps.

Light usage until you can purchase and receive a set of BudKups. Or, if not light usage, thorough cleaning until they arrive.

They are a literal game-changer for the Pax3. They make cleaning so much easier and they last a good, long time. It's also super convenient to have yourself a set because you can preload the Kups and just pop in a new one when it's time to puff.

I'd also highly suggest an airtight carrying case to seal off the smell of the Pax3. The one I use is this one here. It does a stellar job at locking in the odor and even has a top piece that can hold your bud. I keep mine at my desk and you'd never know the wiser.

With the Kups, I clean my unit about once a week. Just use some isopropyl alcohol and scrub the chamber and the passageway for the air with the brush that comes with the Pax. Simple.

Download the app. It allows you some very in-depth temperature control, as well as a handful of pre-programmed settings for certain situations. When I'm out and about, I prefer the Stealth setting as it does a decent job at heating the herb in a way that minimizes the odor put off.

Lastly, get a jar and save all of the vaped bud you get. AVB (already vaped bud) can be used again because it still contains THC. Roast your bud until you notice a burnt popcorn-y flavor, then empty it into the jar. Later, it can be boiled in a fatty oil or butter and used to bake edibles with, or the AVB can simply be eaten for an additional high! I prefer toast with peanut butter, sprinkled with AVB, then covered in syrup. About 2-3 grams and an hour later, I'm flying high, my friend.

I hope you enjoy your PAX! :D

It's actually pretty simple. At it's most basic, try this comment from /u/improvaper

Make an induction heater! It's cheap and easy. I've been blasting my instructions everywhere around here lately. If you're interested, let me know and I'll blast them again here. :)

It's definitely worth the (extremely little) effort.

Edit: blasting:

I made mine for about $30 with parts available on Amazon:

I have the Zico version of this dual flame torch. I prefer the dual flame. I know a lot of people preach single flame, but I find when I hold the dual flame perpindicular to the cap and put it right between the flames I get the best combo of even, fast heat up. I would recommend against getting this particular model. It has a door that closes over the jets, which seems nice at first, but really just retains a lot of heat and makes it slightly uncomfortable for longer sessions.

I might get something like this from Amazon as backups, but go to a local cigar shop or smoke shop and find a nicer torch for your main driver. I've got a couple shitty torches and they're shitty, but all my second tier are noticeably nicer. For instance, the action on my Zico dual is more smooth than on my Eagle dual. The Eagle works, but it is definitely a back up since it's more uncomfortable to use and less reliable.

You don't need a fancy torch. I got my Vapcap and instantly it became my main driver, so I went out and invested in a couple nicer torches since I was going to be spending time with them.

Also, get something transparent or with a good window so you can see how much butane you have less. That's another strike against my Eagle, I never know if I have fluid to last the day and need a backup.

u/bannable01 · 1 pointr/vaporents

Yeah, I had that issue too. I'm not sure what exactly fixed it, but I did take it apart, clean everything off, and put it back together.

Before that I had been heating like 5-10 seconds after the click and it was still barely working.

Didn't matter what heat source I used, BIC, stove, Butane torch.

After re-assembling I did notice that I got VASTLY superior results by holding the cap in the flame, so the flame wraps around the cap, than I did slowly heating from farther away. Added benefit is it heats up in about 20 seconds instead of 35.

Maybe the metal needs to be "broken in"? Idk, that doesn't make any sense to me but I can't imagine another explanation for the night and day performance difference that didn't coincide (in terms of timing) with any of the changes I made. It just randomly started working right, more like the OG vapcap.

Finally, I will say that while with the OG vapcap it wasn't necessary to cover the "carb" to get a good hit, with the M if I don't inhale with the carb covered I get nothing at all from it :/

u/iusuallyjustlurk · 2 pointsr/vaporents

thanks for the help. i'm definitely getting more consistent rips, but i'm going through a bunch of bud. i'm sure i'll get better and less wasteful

what torch do you use? I'm using the honest torch, but ordered this one

u/Grover53 · 1 pointr/vaporents

I bought the Vape North bubble straw three months ago and ended up giving it away. I personally found it too top heavy and ungainly, making the Solo 2 unstable when you put it down. I found it a PITA to store and the fit of the straw seemed a bit wobbly in the vape, IMO. I can't really see the H-20 being a lot different.
We did have a lot more success cooling the vapour from the Solo 2 with this: (first vape related product I ever bought from Amazon!). This seemed a LOT more stable and balanced on the Solo..does a great job, too. Just my two cents worth. Happy vaping, frent (fellow Canuck here)!

u/rawlion · 1 pointr/vaporents

This is my favorite lighter, it's a triple flame, so it's good for everything except getting the milkiest hits out of a water piece. For thick bong rips I suggest using a single flame. I have an honest single flame torch from my sticky brick. Works super great.

u/sublime1029 · 15 pointsr/vaporents

Good morning, frients!!! I just completed my IH build based on A LOT of research/lurking around these parts. Here are a few more pictures of the setup/internals:

**Update/Parts List**

Induction heater board w/coil

Glass tube

(I shoved a cork in there from an old craft beer bottle. I just shaved it down with an x-acto knife until I was happy with the fit/spacing)

Power supply

Red toggle switch

Momentary switch

DC panel-mount jack

Insulated crimp connectors

I used 16-gauge red/black wiring and insulated crimp connectors I had left over from previous projects.

Here's the bubbler I was using with the optional glass mouthpiece.

Total: ~$65 USD

TL;DR This thing is badass and easy to put together. Do it!!!

u/CapableProfessional · 1 pointr/vaporents

I would recommend fully packing, the easiest way to do so is to use the Dynavap like a straw - take the cap off and "sip"up some bud into the chamber, it will fill it nice and full with plenty of airflow. I find this gets me a good 5-7 hits per bowl, and if im alone I usually get a decent high out of 1 with high tolerance. as for the BIC I would avoid it and find a decent lighter like this one

u/SONICBOOM1991 · 2 pointsr/vaporents

Exactly what col0ringbook said and you should be ready to rock. I don't know about a charging "dock" for the batteries but you could find a nice charger on amazon. Something like this or something from xtar would serve your nicely

u/NiCkLeB474 · 5 pointsr/vaporents

I am going to put in a vote for a Sticky Brick. I own and love both devices, and the reason I'm going for the Brick is because the way it's used is more reminiscent of smoking. It feels like you're smoking out of a bowl.

Also, when it comes to "Fast and hard hitting", both devices are exactly that, but the Brick can vape faster and hit harder, relatively speaking.

Lastly, if at any point the sesh has more than one person, the Brick is, in my opinion, the only option. Vapcaps are a very personal experience, due to bowl size.

My torch recommendation is this: Eagle Torch
It is Prime eligible as well. I hope you find a vape that prevents your mother from smoking.

Edit: Forgot to recommend some butane: Colibri This is also Prime eligible.

u/rocketsauces · 2 pointsr/vaporents

I purchased my batteries from this product page exactly.

I have yet to try charging the Samsung batteries in my vape but that's a great idea! Troubleshooting is always about eliminating variables. I'll let you know how it goes!

Thanks for your time and consideration.

u/VaporWoods · 1 pointr/vaporents

I have the EVO too, and I have a whip. Love it!

As a suggestion, the official whip is hella expensive. You can build your own really easily and maybe ch cheaper.

Then grab a male and female (probably 18mm, 14 if you need it) from Oregon Glass Blower

I bought mine and love it.

EDIT: I actually just went and looked at vapeXhales site. Their prices have come down since I looked last time.

u/Weed_Sea · 1 pointr/vaporents

It's $30 but I guess with shipping and stuff it's $37.

Edit: and you'll probably want a butane torch lighter (and butane) as it's the best way to use it imo. I got this one: Scorch Torch Dominator Triple Jet Flame Butane Torch Cigarette Cigar Lighter w/ Punch Cutter Tool (Gunmetal) for 12 bucks and the butane is in the "commonly bought with section" for like 6 or 7 bucks. So if you want to go that route you're looking at around ~$55 give or take for tax and shipping if you don't have Amazon prime.

u/wobowobo · 5 pointsr/vaporents

Honestly it might still just be the torch. I have the cheap single flame that came with the brick and it just doesn't work with the brick for me (I use it with the vapcap and lighting tealights pretty often though). A stronger single flame like the zico t38 I think it's called have worked much better for me. I love the brick but do really dislike how much performance differs based on torch

I'm still trying to find the perfect torch but here is a link to the one I mentioned Zico T-38

u/Chirijaden_ · 1 pointr/vaporents

Here is what I have purchased so far.

12v 6a 72w power supply

ZVS Heater and Coil Combo

Switch. Can hold up to 20amps not sure that mattters whatever, room for extra isn't bad.

[Glass Tube]I DELETED THIS AS WHAT I HAD HERE IS TOO BIG! DO NOT BUY THE GUITAR SLIDE I HAD LISTED! NEW TUBE. I ordered this from China on a Thursday, let's see how long it takes to get here.

So, I would just be missing the mosfet and momentary switches that you have. Do you find them necessary? I might just buy the mosfet and momentary for peace of mind, but I did see a couple build that avoided the mosfet for simplicity's sake. This build seems to have avoided one.

Any further advice (wire gauge, soldering tips, etc)? I am currently looking for a good box to put it all in. Thanks again for the reply.

Check out the Smoke Buddy or the Sploofy. They eliminates smell by using a carbon filter, a mini version of what they use on grow ops to eliminate smell. Lasts around 3-500 uses. The Spoofy has a replaceable filter inside. I prefer the SB because they have a Jr version which is great for portability...I'm a server and I use it to vape my hopper in the bathroom stall with zero smell. But if that's not a concern then the spoofy is great because it has replaceable filters, where the SB you have to buy a whole new unit. They all eliminate the smell very well to nothing.

If you want cooler vapor with less draw resistance, add a whip.

Unscrew the plastic tip and push on some Silicon tubing 3/8" Inside Diameter, 1/2" outside diameter. Like this:

It allows the vapor to cool more, and smooths it out. I like to attach the tip and just kick back for nice long slow sips of vapor.

Honestly, this is the best deal you're going to find as long as you only need to charge two batteries at once. Spend the $16 now and never have to worry about it again.

u/fartliberator · 1 pointr/vaporents

It's an alternate cartridge with a lid. Kinda small actually, they recommend dabs the size of a lentil and frankly I barely use mine. But the fact that I can is the only reason I didn't go with the Da Vinci IQ.

Incidentally, there's a pretty cool portable case on amazon I picked up that's proven to be indispensable.

u/Captain_Wonderbread · 2 pointsr/vaporents

This is safe up to 500 degrees. It'll work perfectly for vaping.

I believe you want to select a 5/16" inner diameter.

I have a similar one that I purchased from Amazon here. Took a little bit to get here, but it’s cheap and also comes with a 14mm WPA for the Solo/Air and Pax. Glass seems to be sturdy and good quality, I’ve tipped it over a couple of times already, no cracks. Hope this helps!

Most people like the triple and quad torch lighters that Dynavap sells. I would steer clear of their Zippo-insert double-flame, as it has a tiny fuel tank and is annoying to refill.

I grabbed some of [these] ( and they work really well as long as it's the weather isn't too bad. They don't do too well in cold, windy conditions.

u/A-Void-Dance · 2 pointsr/vaporents

Any torch lighter will work. They sell some on the dynavap website. I bought mine at a gas station. You can definitely find 1 at a cigar shop or online.

A single flame torch allows you to get the heat deeper and makes the hits more customizable(differences in where you heat the cap).

Dynavap sells a few torches, like this one It has 3 flames. Many people prefer a torch with only a single flame, like these They tend to be more reliable,
and can provide bigger hits due to higher bowl temperatures.

As for fuel (the butane itself), higher quality fuel is recommended as it leaves no taste and won't clog up your lighters.

And here are the details of my build.

The basic circuit is:

[power brick positive] -----> [switch] --------> [Induction module] ----------> [power brick negative]

Here is the list of purchased parts I used:

u/GirthyBurger · 3 pointsr/vaporents

I have had these single flame lighters for 2 years and recently tried out these triple flame torches because I wanted to heat in a hurry. The single flame allows for more temperature control but the triple flame is more wind resistant and heats faster. I like both but now use my homemade induction heater the most.

u/0lof · 1 pointr/vaporents

I have an air coming in the mail. I would recommend either contacting arizer or just getting and external charger. this charger is a duel sled and works well also it's cheap.

u/vaporman2084 · 1 pointr/vaporents

Arc lighters usually just light paper from a spark. There is no flame. I think you should look for a torch instead.

I have this one

A 3 flame torch like this is recommended.

u/LuxCrawford · 1 pointr/vaporents

I mostly use the little bumper caps for my Pax3 but I have my Skunk Case ready for short trips and such.

u/GrimmDemon · 2 pointsr/vaporents

I usually tour Amazon Canada. They have a decent selection of torch lighters.

Here is the link to a 3rd party zippo torch insert. Zippo actually makes a 1st party one now but not in Canada.

Zippo Torch Insert

u/Kraivyne · 1 pointr/vaporents

It's basically a 2 torch zippo. Its pretty good.

I was originally just going to get the Z Plus 2 insert from amazon, but that costs $18. With the 420 discount I got the Z Plus 2 with zippo for $12.

u/tuks6 · 1 pointr/vaporents

A quick google:

I have read somewhere else on this board that, as long as it is food grade, it is safe to use.

You'll have to check yourself if this tube seals with your glass. I don't have a DBV, so I can't check it for you.

u/_accountisthrowaway_ · 3 pointsr/vaporents

It's called propylene glycol. You need the good grade level. Amazon has it for $7.79 a pint and it should last you until it expires (years).

u/pundapoop · 2 pointsr/vaporents

The zico t38 is $10. Works reliably, easy to adjust flame size and refill.

u/hangingfruits · 2 pointsr/vaporents

Tried snagging some pax caps?
I've heard good things about them, also quite cheap. Skunk Case also has some more expensive smell proof water proof etc. options.

u/Son_Of_Q · 1 pointr/vaporents

I'd just grab one of these:

Work like a charm - and they are cheap.

EDIT: you're probably fine without it but if you're worried, might as well.

u/bedfredjed · 1 pointr/vaporents

I haven't had to learn to adjust to smoking in a dorm yet (Although that's definitely gonna have to change in the next 6~ months)

I always figured you could keep the door closed, the window open, and Using a Smoke Buddy would be more than enough to get away with vaping in an individual room

u/lookatmeglow · 3 pointsr/vaporents

I can only see flair in comments as I am on mobile. I was going to say you can pickup a new whip from vapexhal. I found this one on amazon that may also be worth checking out.

u/grasschoocher · 1 pointr/vaporents

I found mine while it was on sale on for around 45$
Edit: Somthing like this

u/millhouse_kinda_guy · 6 pointsr/vaporents

Yeah, let me get the link for ya!

Edit: link

u/dimildarko · 6 pointsr/vaporents

I recently ordered this one off Amazon. Hasn't arrived yet but the reviews seem very good and for $10 what do you have to lose?

u/Villiam01 · 1 pointr/vaporents
  1. Store your shit in something with a gasket seal, like an ammo can or some ridiculously expensive camera case.
  2. Keep a carbon filter locked with it.
  3. Exhale into a smoke buddy or sploofy.
    Good luck.
u/jmatthews2088 · 3 pointsr/vaporents

I've tried several, and my favorite is Vertigo Cyclone:

Unlike most on Amazon, reviewers don't seem to have a problem with it suddenly pooping out. You can see the butane level. And three torches means quick heating.

u/rapatt12 · 1 pointr/vaporents

I don't own one but have been doing a bit of research as I plan on purchasing soon. From what I've read, it works fine with a regular lighter just takes about 7-10 seconds to heat up as opposed to the 5-7. And here's a link to the torch I've ordered.

u/tarzan_boy · 1 pointr/vaporents

I'd recommend the first option, but here are two to consider:

  1. Pax Official Site

  2. Amazon Merchant

Caution: Ploom pointed out that if a Pax owner damages her vaporizer by using anything other than their officially approved lubricant, she could void her 10yr. warranty.
u/firmHoldOnEasyWorld · 2 pointsr/vaporents

I much prefer white silicone tubing over the stock vinyl-silicone tubes in most vapes. It will get dirtier quicker, can kink, and is more expensive. But its more flexible and more inert (no break in smell+taste and you can soak it in iso to get all of the honey oil off).

This is the Amazon link for the sized used by the DaBuddha

u/jfedz · 1 pointr/vaporents

This works pretty well.

I usually get 25' of the 1/4" Inside Diameter, and cut to size.

Ninja edit: got my numbers all wrong. This is the one I use. Takes some work to get it on to the glass tube with the ridges, but once it's on there. it'll stay for a while.

u/blindcolumn · 2 pointsr/vaporents

> I sort of envision myself as the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland when I vape with this and it just doesn't have that reach required. I should get a longer tube.

Do what I did and get a silicone tube, it comes in a 10 ft length and you can cut it to whatever length you like. Silicone also gives less plastic taste than the default vinyl in my opinion.

u/AreasonableAmerican · 6 pointsr/vaporents

Buy him a smoke buddy and attach it to his pipe so it gets used and not forgotten. 90% less smoke instantly for $11.

I believe you're looking for this. All vapes will leave an odor, but if you exhale through this and use a candle, you'll be right as rain.

Smoke Buddy Personal Air Filter, Blue

u/BeerGeek84 · 2 pointsr/vaporents

I went through maybe 5 of the coils before I found one that worked.

I knew my power supply was fine, as testing it during use was fine, but once I tried to use it with the vape the coil module would shut down.

I know that there are tons of these on Amazon, but this one - - is the only one that worked for me. It may be the same make, model, vendor, whatever.....but I plugged this one in and it worked right away with no issues.

If you're having problems, I would think its the module. They are cheaply made and pretty hit or miss.

u/redcrxsi · 1 pointr/vaporents

Tried it with my zippo, with a Z plus insert. 10 seconds.
I'm not sure what exactly is noticeable anyway. The triple flame torch from Dynavap is BIC lighter sized.

u/dasganji · 1 pointr/vaporents

a simple plug-in charger for the air.. buy a 18650 battery charger like
u can charge your spare battery while using one in the air, if the one is empty the other is fully loaded ;-) vape non stop with no battery issues

u/KoloHickory · 9 pointsr/vaporents

So there are a lot more vapcap owners after 420 sales. My first couple weeks with the vapcap sucked because my lighters sucked. I want you to have a better experience! One of my biggest issues with the vapcap when i first got it was all the shitty failing lighters, i must have tried close to 10 different ones before i found some that i liked..err found some that didn't shit the bed on me.

Remember to purchase good butane too! Colibri has been serving me well. I like vector as well but i buy that at my local smoke shop. A lot cheaper there.

u/Drama_Derp · 8 pointsr/vaporents

It's a sploof. Activated carbon filter in a plastic case. Unless you blow out with significant force, there is no cloud, no vapor. It condensates within the filter and the carbon removes the smell.

I'll clarify by saying that they knew I was doing but they didn't notice any smell when I had started in their peripheral.

u/nooshaw · 1 pointr/vaporents

Going to PyCon too?

Your over thinking it. No one cares if your smoking on your hotel balcony or on the street as long as they can't smell it. So stay far away from others and don't blow it near anyone specially a cop. Just bring your favorite vape and a smoke buddy

Worse case senario is a fine. If Portland is anything like Seattle, smoking in public will net you a $25 citation after first warning. Your hotel will probably have a heavy penalty if they find you smoking in your room. In other words stay on the downlow and unless someone complains about the smell your ok.

u/Uptoker · 1 pointr/vaporents

Wow thank you for detailed response. Could you link me an adapter that is meant for the air? I can't see one jumping off the page :( sorry! No bother if you don't I'll keep looking.

This charger?

u/babaindica · 2 pointsr/vaporents

Its a ghetto setup :D I use silicone tubing which mounts on to the easy valve and use a 18mm male at the other end. I use a bong without any percolators since I'm afraid that any back pressure on the pump of the Volcano might damage it. I'll try and post a photo of the setup
This is the tubing I use, its the same size as the set on the Plenty

I can guarantee if you use a vape out of sight they will never know. I bring one to work since I'm alone on weekends. My house smells only skunky after Ive ground up fresh bud.

If you are really worried buy a smoke buddy:
Which is essentially a tube with activated charcoal at the end of it.

Just for the record. I lived in apartment for 3 years that was carpeted. I smoked joints and bongs and never had problems or extra fees when I left. I bought a house and smoke all the time. People come over and have no idea. Marijuana doesn't linger, just the "combustion smoke." I'm not trying to convince you to smoke inside, but if the far end of the spectrum doesn't have any lingering smells, I cant imagine vaporizing hydrocarbons below 400 degrees would create a worse effect.

Also wanted to throw in that I had one bad ass deep fabric sofa in my apartment. When i left i sold it to a coworker, he had no complaints.
