This is my favorite cookbook I've used so far.

As far as general advice, shirataki noodles and cauliflower rice are your friends when you're craving starchy foods.

I start each day with a smoothie that's 2 cups spinach, 3 scoops protein powder, 2 cups unsweetened coconut milk(carton), 1 tablespoon chia seed, liquid stevia to sweeten, and a crazy large heaping of cinnamon to top it off. That gets me 60g protein right away and it's easy to hit that daily macro just eating the way I normally would after that.

I hope that helps!

On most days I eat a lot of sprouted seeds, coconut butter, almond butter, raw walnuts and brazil nuts, even if I can't find sprouted ones. Macadamia nuts are awesome when you need portable fat calories.

If I've been eating mostly whole foods and want desert, I really like No Cow Bars, and 4g net carbs for 20g of protein isn't bad after all those seeds. I try not to eat soy but this vegan jerky is amazing. The black pepper and smoked chipotle flavors are 2g net carbs/oz, but some of the sweeter flavors are closer to 10g, and the maple Sriracha (absolutely the best) is 4g.

Just a note, check out Black Soy Beans. They're the only beans I've found that work with keto and they're delicious! For a 1/2 cup serving, they have 8g carbs with 7g fiber for a total of 1g net carbs!

Also, be sure to check out /r/vegetarianketo for recipe ideas as well (making substitutions as needed).

Well congrats on switching to a vegan diet! That’s amazing. The switch is easier than ever, as more and more companies are emerging with plant-based options (such as Beyond burgers/sausages, which only net about ~3 carbs!). I found this book to be incredibly helpful when switching to Keto (I’ve been vegan for a while though). There are lots of options, but remember to be kind to yourself as you switch over. Don’t beat yourself up if you have eggs or meat at first. Transition slowly, so you don’t crave and crash, but rather make it a habit. And always remember the animals!

Keto is rebranded Atkins. After atkins had too many people debunking it, it was rebranded to Keto.
This book is written by Dr. Michael greger of nutritionfacts.org one of the most respected plant based nutritionists.

The book was also republished as Carbophobia after atkins was rebranded as keto.

I use a sausage mix it is vegan, and delicious. A little bit more work than the premade patties/links but i just make a batch and freeze them!

I'm on vegan CICO not vegan keto, but I know people who are and they tell me they eat: Beyond Meat (1 gram net carb), Beyond sausages (2 net carbs), Gardein chick'n strips are 4 net carb, Some nutritional yeasts are 1 net carb, Mushrooms 1 net carb, bell peppers are 3 net carb per 100 grams, 2 cups of spinach = 1 net carb, chinese cabbage = 1.5 carb per cup, some wraps are 1 or 2 net carbs, low carb bagels, low carb cookies, avocado pesto, low carb bread, shirataki rice & noodles. Here's an example of a low carb pizza wrap. Many of the more nutrient dense veggies are lower carb, so that's good, but really vegan keto is going to require a lot of creativity with sauces etc. Just doing low carb is much easier obviously.

edit to add - a few other lower carb meals I found looking through the sub I help mod:

Have you read The Obesity Code?

The advice in that book combined with these is what helped me the most:

The Complete Guide to Fasting

Eat to Live

How Not to Die

i just do a spoonfull of iodized table salt and a spoonful of NoSalt (potassium chloride for my potassium needs) in a 1 liter bottle of water. i won't chug it but drink it throughout the day.

i used to supplement magnesium but i haven't felt a need to in a long while.
