Follow up questions:
Can you help me identify it?

How old is it? (the uncle who gave it to me thinks it's around 8 years old but isn't sure)

How do I clean it? There's lint in the insides and ear swabs can't reach.

The scissor is a little broken, the "spring" seems to be worn out and shifts out of place whenever I try cutting something. Do I have to take it to a repair shop?

There is a dirty stain on it's side (you can see it on the third image) that's been there forever, and scrubbing it won't remove it. How can I take it off?

How do I take better care of it in the future?

Edit: It's a Climber Stay Glow model credit to u/jamesdkelly88 for identifying it first.

Edit2: It's anywhere from 26-12 years old! Credit to /u/NYXLHoXP and u/jamesdkelly88

I can buy new springs for the scissors here on ebay or here on amazon credit to u/NYXLHoXP.

To clean it I'll try u/NYXLHoXP's solution to
>put it under warm water and open/close the different tools, and dry the tools with a clean towel, the rest can airdry

Thanks for the help everyone!

Yes it's real.

>How old is it?

The stamp was used in the production period 1980-2005, it's a climber model, so it's from anywhere between 1991-2005.

>How do I clean it?

Official manual can be found here. - Basically just put it under warm water and open/close the different tools, and dry the tools with a clean towel, the rest can airdry, as the stainless steel they use - if im correct - is grade 420, or something close to it. [...Under hardened conditions, grade 420 steels are resistant to fresh water, alkalis, air, foods and mild acids...] Also do yourself a favour and buy the official oil to it.

>The scissor is a little broken, the "spring" seems to be worn out and shifts out of place whenever I try cutting something. Do I have to take it to a repair shop?

You can buy replacements here, Im fairly sure the medium spring will be sufficient, as the climber is part of the medium collection.

Have you tried with acetone/sprit? While it's unlikely, if it has been laying in bad conditions or for whatever reason, should have gotten iron particles knocked into it (like scratching it hard on a piece of iron) it can be rust, but then you should be able to feel it.

>How do I take better care of it in the future?

If you use it outside, just wear a tiny piece of clothes with you, and wipe said tool after use, and put it back in its pounch/container somewhere it isn't exposed. And just clean it every now and then.

Also wipe off acids (apples/oranges)

Off topic but I don't want to pass up the opportunity, do you know if a cybertool lite fit well in one of these? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001B70UP6?ref_=pe_623860_70668520

(if not one of those.. do you have any nice leather pouches you could suggest?)

The Super Tinker looks very similar. It looks like all the same tools as the salesman, plus the hook.

knife + openers + scissors is my holy grail too, I've been looking into this lately.

If the large screwdriver isn't important to you, then you might also look into the Compact, the Climber, and the new Pioneer X.

You want a fairly coarse stone to remove that chip. Then a fine one to finish. There's TONS of options, but something like this will do the job.

I didn't buy it. Snapped this in a store. Too bad they don't offer something higher quality! I guess this one is better? http://www.amazon.com/Victorinox-Pocket-Knife-Sharpener-Black/dp/B000AR7AKG/

Surprised to hear that Vic blades are considered "soft steel".

u/FeebleOldMan · 1 pointr/victorinox

I would go for an Opinel for its locking capability if I'm looking for a blade only tool.

Search for "glass display case for knives".

I'm thinking about this as wall art.

By initial look, that might be the Huntsman Ii made with Nylon scales instead of the usual shiny stuff. Is it missing the hole under the corkscrew where a pin would usually go?

As for toothpick and tweezers you can find them on Amazon or Victorinox sells them on their site.

u/genericdude999 · 2 pointsr/victorinox

You can buy replacement toothpicks and tweezers on Amazon for cheap. I just put two tweezers in mine since I never use the toothpick.

BTW, no phillips screwdriver? What are you, a drunken barbarian? {jk}

The one without elastic? That's a flexible filleting knife in rosewood. They do a stiffer boning (heh heh) knife in the same dimensions for more general work.

EDIT:I've found a sticking knife that could be just the ticket.
