Wow is not easy on your left (keyboard) wrist. If you are prone to having wrist pain, I'd recommend looking into getting either a Razor Orbweaver or a forget what the budget Orbweaver is called, or trying to find a Logitech G13. These are so much more wrist and MMO friendly, its insane.
What I'm using is an Azeron keypad, which is similar, just that its not a "big name brand", but rather a dude and his wife working on these with a 3D printer. I used to play League of Legends with an Orbweaver, but after 2 Orbweavers dying on me after about 1,5 years of gaming, I decided to explore a bit. The price range was the same, might as well go and give some money for the "little guy", and try out something new. I really like it, but the build quality is just not there. Its looks 3D printed, and most parts do feel very not... solid. But the layout is REALLY fucking good, its the best thing I have ever used in my life.
I basically use the joystick with my thumb as WASD, and the skills are programmed on the 12 keys you can reach very easily with your other 4 fingers. I have a Roccant Kone Aimo, so I set one of the buttons to shift, so with that modifier I can basically "instapress" 24 skills, and still move around like its nothing. If I had to play wow with a regular keyboard, I would quit on spot for sure. I... how the fuck would I have that much keybinds... Prob no way. The Azeron is not available for sale atm, I think there will be a preorder or something around september, bc they are going to "upgrade" from being a garage company to having employes and stuff. I'm really happy for them, and I truly hope they will make it big, cause this shit is amazing, and I want one that has sturdier build quality. I'm ordering another one in sept for sure, just so I'd have a backup :D
If he doesn't already have it - this would make a great Christmas present.

That's the first of 2 volumes.
There's a lot of online resources to explain lore (Nobbel on Youtube, Podcasts, blogs), but the best way to understand the foundation of the game is to play it.
If you wanted to just browse the classes you could visit https://www.icy-veins.com/ , but without context it might not make a lot of sense.
I'm not sure about the keyboard, but I recently got a 12 side-button mouse and I loooooooooooove it. I got this one . I 'm a Guardian Druid and I have a lot of hotkeys I need, so now that I have this mouse I'm used to it and it's so easy. It's even got finger rests on the side. (And I know you shouldn't buy it just because of this, but it lights up and changes colors and it's pretty xD ).
I really love my Corsair Scimitar. You don't have to use all the buttons and just keybind what feels good to know. Here's a amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Scimitar-Optical-Programmable-Buttons/dp/B01MU3DZYN/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1538690895&sr=1-1&keywords=Corsair+Scimitar
I found this one on Amazon that can easily play wow for $584
I really hated the Razer Naga Trinity. It didnt feel right in my hand, and the top buttons can’t be mapped. I also tried the Logitech G600 and had issues getting the keybinds to work in-game. The hyper-shift button was also pretty awkward and I was accidentally hitting it all the time.
I’ve been super happy with the Steel Series Rival 500. I don’t see myself replacing it any time soon.
I'm going to be the odd one out with the Naga Trinity, then. Razer's quality control has, in my experience, been extremely poor. I have owned three Razer Naga mice in my life, and each one has died after about a year of use, generally due to either the left mouse button or middle click becoming faulty.
The Trinity in particular lasted the least amount of time. I bought it at the beginning of BfA, and two months ago, it began to double and triple click on left mouse button, making using it virtually impossible. I'm not a hardcore raider and I'm not someone who rages and breaks my belongings; all three have died under casual WoW playing use, no especially hard play or anything like that.
Instead of buying a fourth Naga, I instead purchased a Redragon M901. It's a Chinese "knock-off", but honestly, I'm blown away by how well it works. The buttons are firmer than the Naga, and everything feels so much more sturdy. I'm not at all worried about breaking this thing, and it even comes with a bunch of QoL things that the Naga doesn't, like weights, a carrying case, and an extra set of skates for the bottom when they get worn out.
Plus, it's close to a quarter of the price. $30, compared to $100.
Personally, I'm never touching a Razer product again in my life. Obviously most other people have better experiences, and that's fine, but for me they've been just garbage.
Im fairly new to MMORPGs in general, and I can not praise how much easier a mouse made for MMORPGs has made my life. It has the 12 numerical buttons on the side and is surprisingly easy to use.
I was worried at first that it would be hard to use, but after an hour I was hitting each button on the mouse no problem. If you are just getting it for the purpose of playing RPGS you dont even need to go nuts on a pricey mouse. I got this one - https://smile.amazon.co.uk/HAVIT-Programmable-Precision-Breathing-Adjustable/dp/B01DW2VQ5A and its absolutely great.

I use the Razer Naga Trinity, with the 12-buttoned side piece.

Not sure if you're still wondering, but the physical copy is on sale on Amazon right now.
Having a mouse with extra buttons on it ( mine has 7 extra in total) literally upped my gameplay by leaps and bounds. I typically use them for oGCDs/quick reaction needed/ground targeting skills. CANNOT imagine playing without one now.
Mouse I use
Buying an SSD will be a huge difference. I'm a fan of the Samsung Evos, they cost a little bit more than other brands, but I've never heard of any problems with them and I've heard of other brands having problems. The 1TB is $70 off right now on Amazon

You are arguing semantics. It's the same thing. For example, Amazon still refers to it as the "Battle Chest Box". As does Bestbuy and dozens of other retailers I found through google.
