If you have an auto trans it will take 15 min to install a cruise control stalk. You're already wired for cruise. [Use this video] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLyRH5eSpps&t=120s) to install. The vid guy uses a Rostra CC module, but don't get that brand it is a over-priced ripoff.

If you notice the guy in the video removes the wires to the air bag. Absolutely no need for that. I just let it rest on the steering wheel and it gives plenty of room. Make sure you follow all steps relating to making sure the air bag has no residual electricity going to it.

If you have a manual trans you will also need a switch to install behind the clutch pedal.

Super easy install and my CC stalk cost me around $20 from Amazon. [Here] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RVJY8CY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) is the one I got, zero problems.

I also have a 2015 Yaris L.

Similar to the one posted by you. I love this thing!

I attached mine to the windshield and it telescopes to the perfect spot - far left, over the left vent.

I bought this bluetooth adapter a few months back. It's pretty easy to install and the sound comes through nice and clear.

I got new wheel covers like this for mine. There are a ton of options ranging from $25-45.

An OBDII scanner is kinda useful and you can use it with your phone to display info that the Yaris doesn't. Things like MPG, tachometer, etc.

I don't know if this will be useful but I'll throw it out there: wifi hotspot for your car for $20/month. More info here.

Cleaning your car also spruces it up too. Enjoy your Yaris!

I dont like wiring harnesses personally and direct solder/shrink tube all wiring.

A wire harnress will work fine though.

Hope this helps.

Here is pic of mine,it shows how the installation kit fills the gaps on both side of receiver.

I have an 09 and I replaced mine with this. It's been perfect, no more squealing.

I have something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Ring-Hook-Holder-Kickstand-iPhone-GOLD/dp/B01J789CNG

and I put the mount to the left of the temperature controls... it's a little low to be safe, but I can cast an eye for directions/to see who's calling.

>It's surprisingly difficult to get info on LEDs headights for Yarises. Ugh. Thanks in advance!

There are no valid LED headlamp assemblies for a 2009 Yaris. The 2009 Yaris only came with halogen headlamps from the factory. You don't want an aftermarket headlamp assembly in general; most are absolute shit. An earlier study found that aftermarket headlamp assemblies made by major aftermarket suppliers were absolute dogshit: one didn't even fit a Ford Taurus, and all of them failed to create a usable pattern of light, unlike the OEM units they were supposed to be "replacing."

And these aftermarket headlamps were made by companies who make literal millions; these are major aftermarket suppliers, not some fly-by-night Chinese import operation. Any "LED" headlamp for a '09 Yaris will likely have came straight outta China, and the quality is not going to be good.

Additionally, with these aftermarket LED headlamp assemblies, thermal management is likely to be extremely poor. There's no incentive for any engineering to be put in these assemblies. The word "LED" sells the assemblies itself; all the headlamp has to do is turn on and look cool for a year and after that, who cares? Who cares if the headlamp burns out after a year? Who cares if the plastic lens crack and craze and yellow and deteriorate? There's a reason the Corolla, with its exemplary LED headlamps, are mostly fan-cooled: yes, LEDs do run hot. A study of commonly found LED "bulbs" found that most of them lost 18% to 73% of their output after being switched on for just 5 minutes. Do you do more than 5 minutes of driving in the dark? Do yourself a favor and avoid running headlamps that might lose 70+% of their output in just 5 minutes.

Personal experience with aftermarket headlamps have just shown time and time again that they are complete doo-doo, even when manufactured by major aftermarket suppliers such as TYC. A friend's aftermarket taillamps cracked in a week. My TYC replacement headlamps crazed and became unusable (couldn't put out a half-decent beam pattern) after a year or so. I've had no such issues, however, with OEM units, as long as the OEM units weren't damaged in a crash/accident.

I took a look at eBay for Yaris LED headlamp assemblies, and as expected, the one I found is complete doo-doo.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/CREE-LED-Bulb-Installed-For-07-11-Yaris-4DR-Factory-Style-Headlight-Assembly/173938207999?fits=Model%3AYaris&hash=item287f866cff:g:tigAAOSwpRhdCdpd

First of all, it wasn't even a purpose-designed LED headlamp. It's a rip-off halogen headlamp with a $5 aftermarket LED "bulb" plugged into it. Aftermarket retrofit LED bulbs, as the above linked study found, are shit.

Second, it claims to be "approved street legal" with the SAE and DOT logos underneath, implying that SAE and DOT "approved" the unit as "street legal." That's complete fucking bullshit they made up to convince people to buy the illegal headlamp.

https://www.nhtsa.gov/interpretations/13434ztv

>The phrase "DOT/SAE approved" should never be used. DOT does not have the authority to "approve" or "disapprove" motor vehicle equipment. To the best of our knowledge, SAE does not approve lamps either.

>In cases where "DOT/SAE approved" appears on auxiliary lamps and their packages, the marking is meaningless.

https://www.nhtsa.gov/interpretations/22310ztv

>As a matter of informa tion, your use of the words "DOT approved" reflects a common misconception. We have no authority to approve or disapprove lighting equipment.

Third, the eBay listing says something about a "clean chrome" housing. If the internal reflector is in fact chrome, then I feel bad for whoever's driving. Chrome is at best about 65% reflective. Real headlamps are made from PVD (physical vapor deposition) aluminum, which is like 95-98% reflective. You'd think they know what they are talking about, but nope, this is a listing by a company that imports illegal shit to the US for sale.

Your Yaris takes 9003/H4 bulbs, so if you are trying to see better, replace the old, worn bulbs with this:
