Yeah those are legitimate concerns - I've only had it for a couple weeks, so I can't comment on the pleather's durability, but I'm sure a cover or throw would help. I usually throw a little fleece blanket on it and that helps with both the heat/breathability issue and the durability.

I know this may come across as insane, but something I've always wanted to try is getting a slip cover like this and layering a memory foam mattress topper like this underneath it, cutting it to fit as necessary. Basically just trying to turn the chair into a black hole of comfy goodness. I'll let you know if I end up trying it out!

I just got the CSL. I like it, but it needs some adjustment. I'm 5'10" 180, and while I fit well on the 2nd to smallest size it has, it isn't super comfortable quite yet. This video has some info on what you need to do to get it better. I ended up replacing the bottom foam with 4 pieces of this, and have 2 pieces in the back and will probably put 3. I still need to drill the extra hole in the frame for the seat, since it's still a bit pinchy. But if you're up to modifying it, I think the CSL is the better buy, simply because it doesn't have a center post.

Wow! Those are very specialized! Interesting...

I wonder if I could make something out of this twin sized memory foam mattress which costs $20... this has been an inspiring thread. Thnx.
