I leave the floss in skeins with the labels left on and just put them in baggies similar to these ones. Each color is in it's own baggie and the baggies I use are small enough that the skeins don't have room to move around so I don't have to worry about them tangling. Leaving the label on the skein also helps to minimize the tangling. If the label does fall off it's either a) already in the bag or b) I actively have the skein in my hand and can easily put the labels in the bag. Because the label is in the bag I don't have to worry about something being labeled wrong or loosing the important label info including dye lot.
The baggies do take more space than bobbins (although the number of bobbin boxes I would need would take up almost as much space as the totes I have the floss in) and it doesn't look as pretty but it's also a lot easier to deal with and doesn't take nearly as much time as winding the skeins onto bobbins or whatever. I also don't have to worry about the bobbins being wound too tight and kinking/creasing the floss.
