Large, thicker glass bowls aren't cheap but really pretty... without going Biorb crazy expensive, Acrylic bowls are an sturdier, easy-to-scratch option but doesn't usually have a flat bottom. Gotta improvise with some PVC tubing base about 1-2 inches thick in a larger diameter.
