You could look into some kind of fabric treatment. I own a pair of mid century chairs with white canvas seats (yes, and wear denim), which I treat with 303 a maritime fabric waterproofing solution. I have no idea if something like that would be possible/ safe/ effective for clothing, but it’s a thought.
