How about getting this wonderful Acer Aspire E 15,it is 15.6inch of HD beauty and it comes with an Intel Core i5-6200U which helps with your School for programming/coding, 4GB DDR3L, 1TB HDD large enough to store your and streaming/torrents in addition it has Windows 10
Only cheap displays are available within this budget. There are actually very few 1080p options even.
I'd say your best option would be the Asus X555DA if you can go $20 over. That would at least get you a 1080p display and an AMD A10 with 8GB RAM and a 1TB HDD.
If you need to keep the pricew down, the Acer Aspire E15-574G would do the trick with an i5-6200U, but you'd need to add the extra RAM yourself at some point.

That's a really good deal for the price! If you don't need the touchscreen, however, this will last you longer and be faster for encoding video. Your order of desired specs for video/audio work are getting the fastest CPU possible, then as much RAM as you can get. It does have 2GB less than the model you were originally looking at, but you can upgrade it to 8GB for around $20. I would rather have a better CPU and less RAM than the opposite for pretty much any application, but you'll definitely notice a difference for video encoding.
