I was thinking about getting a PC. All my friends are already playing on them.
One was sending me suggestions earlier and suggested this

I just get so busy at times that I hate the idea of spending 600+ on a cheaper gaming PC and not even have time to use it.
The laptop is just something to play while on the road and such for work.

I am dying to play warhamemr 2 and 3 kingdoms.

are there any PC builds that won’t run a ton that? I wouldn’t mind used.

For your budget, if you want everything new, I would recommend buying a basic pc and throwing in a graphics card. It's not gonna blow anyone away, but it should get the job done pretty well.

PC https://www.amazon.com/Acer-TC-885-ACCFLi3O-Desktop-i3-8100-802-11ac/dp/B07ML4GTCW$399

Graphics Card https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Black-Gaming-04G-P4-1151-KR/dp/B07QFZ24VS$140

Keep in mind that sales tax will eat into your budget as well. And there's no monitor in this price. If you don't mind get stuff used, you can look at refurbished items as well.

And try asking friends and family if they have any desktops they don't use anymore. Then you could spend your money on just a power supply and graphics card.

This is the base pc but to get better performance you could put in a gtx 1650. This is not a complex upgrade all you have to do it unscrew 2 screws remove pci brackets and then slot the card in and put the screws back into their original position.

Sorry for pulling up such an old thread, but I pulled off a sub-$800 RTX 2060 system for a friend. Sacrifices have to be made and it's like you think you'll find a great on everything...

Listen to what you're asking:
Here's a commutative list:
RTX 2060 - $350
i7 8700k - $350 (if that)
Water AIO - $100 (if that)

You're already game-over

You need system memory, windows, storage, mobo, case, etc etc

So unless you want the experience of building a system, look for anything and at everything. I used to sell computers and I'm used to rummaging shit together. In my opinion a 2060 isn't gonna be bottlenecked by a significant amount by any 8th+ gen Intel or x400+ ryzen cpu. Everyone overestimates cpu bottlenecks and this largely (probably entirely) depends on the games you're playing.

Here's what I found:
Acer Aspire TC-885-ACCFLi3O Desktop

Sub-total: $786.98

What you're getting:

Motherboard

  • 1x Pcie M.2 slot

  • 1x 16x Pci slot

  • 2x sata

  • LGA1151

    300w psu

  • this is fine rtx 2060 tdp : 180w

  • i3 8100 tdp : 65w

  • this leaves 55w for the rest of the system when in FULL load

    1tb HDD + 16gb optane

You can always upgrade any of this crap later dude, if you just want a system to get rolling, this is a great baseline.

Thanks for time. I'll do some more browsing and try to submit a final build in a separate thread. Appreciate you ;)
