How does this monitor compare to the KG251Q model?

Acer 24" for $165, will get you 1080p, TN panel ultra low latency, 30-144Hz Freesync range with LFC (low frame rate compensation which doubles or triples frames so they fall into Freesync range not all displays have LFC).

AOC 27" $259, 1080p curved display, TN panel ultra low latency, 48-144 Freesync range with LFC so same as above more or less.

Freesync helps smooth out inconsistent frame-rates making some 30/40/50fps games feel smoother.

That Freesync range with LFC roughly translates into 20-60fps range on Xbox with 60hz output and 20-120fps range with 120hz output. Though realistically only 60fps games, rare games with unlocked frame-rates and VRR (freesync) store certified titles will see any benefit (see store capabilities->VRR).

A lot of Xbox One games are 30fps and these games often using a thing called adaptive vsync, this does not work with VRR/Freesync unless the game is VRR certified, for example The Division 2 is a recent example.

If the Xbox One is able to output 120hz mode with VRR/Freesync enabled leave it at that otherwise use 60Hz with VRR, keep in mind Freesync must be manually enabled on the monitors own settings first.

But it has a 1MS response time and is full 1080 which is really nice to play on. I have the 24.5 inch and love it. I also have a ps4 pro and it is very crisp with the resolution and is definitely better looking than the regular ps4.
