man i will answer that in simple way i just bought an iphone 8 plus and that charger https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B071GJ6X7B/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 no need extra cables at all just use your iphone cable and best of it. it got 2 ports :P and 45 mins to an hour max phone is charge and 24 watts. can't beat 18 bucks
They use a removable tape to secure to the wall/table/etc. once the base is secured to the wall or whatever, you clip the other piece on the cable and that clip connects to the base magnetically. It allows you to remove the cable temporarily without having to unstick the base or unclip the cable.
