First grow.

This took 2-3 months. Seems like I ran into a number of first-timer pitfalls along the way. Good learning experience though.

Can't wait. So god damn tired of shady, undependable hook ups.

Edit 2:

Photos of my setup.

Think of these buckets as a template, every grower solves problems differently and that is why you won't find two identical setups. That creative freedom is part of the beauty of the space bucket experience :D

It is really a simple design, you can build one with little effort. I don't know what your budget is, but if you get a UFO LED light you just need to put it on a lid and add some PC fans on the side. If you go the CFL route you can get something like this 4-way adapter that is very easy to install and comes already wired with a plug (and a fuse actually). You'll need to do some benchmarking and debugging but those parts have been bucket-tested and will make your build easier.

Sorry I'm Canadian , used to our measurements. It's 5 gallons* (~20L) I will be using this light for my grow. Are you sure that fan is okay? The other guy seemed so sure .

Hmmm... I did not. Though, I thought it was typical to have 12 on, 12 off light cycles. Is that not correct? Should I just get one that is ideal for longer hours? Thanks for the help!

Edit: This looks like a better option, no?

Was wondering what would be my best option.

Currently looking at this:

Curious if this is my best option if trying to conserve energy and is this a good option for minimum heat.

Also took a glance at this:

Ekrof on the article you talk about UFO lights and you posted a link to an 'Apollo 180W' light. You also state that 135W lights are recommended, but when I go to the 135 Apollo light link on amazon there is a section where it says "Actual Power Draw: 90 Watts" Should we consider to choose the 135 watt light based on the "Actual Power Drawn" or the wattage that is advertised on the tittle of the product?
