I would definitely explore an LED light as well. There are a number of Apollo LEDs on Amazon of high quality and their prices have dropped dramatically in the past few years. The biggest upside to LEDs are the low heat, good power consumption to watt ratio, and extremely long life (30,000-50,000 hours+!). The only real downside is a slightly higher up front cost than an HPS light, but you won't have to change any bulbs. This Apollo LED looks like a great option.
