Hello! I'm looking to start a 20G tank with a Betta and a few tank mates that will play nice. Along with some easy to care for live plants. I've found 2 starter kits on Amazon and was wanting to see if these would be good place to start. There is this one and then This second one. I don't think either comes with a heater so I would have to snag that. Basicly wondering if the filters and lights will be enough or if it would be way cheaper to buy all the parts by themselves.

From what I see on this photo of the bottom of the hood, nothing. They could barely survive, but this is all. It's for being able to see the fish, IMO.

This low cost bulb will allow to keep practically all not particularly demanding corals, but you will need to get a gooseneck holder for it (or use in desktop lamp with removable shade) and remove the current tank hood.

12W version of this lamp allows grow even sps in 1-3 gal pico tanks, see Reef Vase.

Be careful with NPS, they need a lot of feeding and cleaning water after this, this is much more expensive than keeping sps.
