Amazon seems to have put most Ubisoft games on sale from the Steam sale such as:

Child of Light

Assassin's Creed Revelations, III, Liberation, IV

Far Cry 4

It also seems they are adding more.

edit: The games mainly use Ubi's DRM, but you can add it into your Steam library. It bothered me for a while but I realized there isn't that great of a benefit since most games force U play anyways.

The only way to get a steam version of the game (which still needs to be activated on Uplay) is to either buy it on Steam directly or buy a Steam key from Amazon, which is the only place that officially sells steam Keys for AC3 (and ACIV too!)

Any version of the game that activates on Uplay first is Uplay only.

Lower down on that page AC3 for $5 if I understand correctly.

Not entirely true, Assassin's Creed III and Assassin's Creed IV on Amazon are Steam codes. But yes, mainly they aren't Steam codes.
