If you're creative you can make and sell shirts, knit, crochet, plastic canvas, perler art, kandi bracelets. Basically, anything that you can do for a site like Etsy. Also, attend craft fairs or pride festivals and sell things at a booth.
If creating items to sell is not something you want to do or if creativity isn't something you're in to, you can go to your local gay bars and try to ask around about having them host some sort of benefit. I knew a guy who funded his top surgery that way. He did hang out there a lot, so he might have had a hook up, but I'm sure there's something you can do. I funded my partner's surgery with student loans, it was going to be my first suggestion until I read your situation. It sucks to be in debt, but if you have the option to get some more money from the school system, feeling comfortable is probably more important than the debt. My partner was really unwilling to work until top surgery, so if it's something you gotta do to feel good about yourself, in the end it'll be worth it.
