For people interested in the NSA and how the government should balance privacy concerns of US persons (as well as those of foreign citizens) with the need to gather foreign intelligence information, Brookings just published a new book titled Beyond Snowden that looks extremely fascinating. Written by Timothy Edgar, an attorney who worked for the ACLU before spending six years with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence during the Bush and Obama administrations.

Lawfare Blog is also doing a “Mini Symposium” on the book.
