Boogie board sync. Makes taking notes super easy and effective used one last semester and I think everyone should have one. http://www.amazon.com/Boogie-Board-9-7-Inch-eWriter-ST1020001/dp/B00E8CIGCA

I feel like the Boogie Board Sync does the same thing for like $80.

This sort of electronic paper may be a good investment for you. It's not cheap but it is more so than the SP series. (I own an SP3. It's good as a laptop, but I never use it for math/notes. Too clunky for me.)

I got a Boogie Board. It's a super thin and light tablet that you write on, then click the "save" button and it sends a pdf to your laptop or phone (you can also send it to evernote). Once the handwritten pdf is on my computer I can then edit and type it up.

For typing, I use LyX. If you don't have much TeX experience it's definitely the way to go to start learning, as it instantly displays what you type. Even if you do have TeX experience, it's still nice.

If all you want to do is take notes, maybe you want just an e-writer like this one from Boogie Board. It's not a full-featured tablet - there's no Facebook, Skype, etc. - it's strictly a replacement for paper.

Tablet or a way to take digital notes? If the latter maybe look at https://www.amazon.com/Boogie-Board-9-7-Inch-eWriter-ST1020001/dp/B00E8CIGCA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474683981&sr=8-1&keywords=boogie+board+sync

My roommate, and I definitely got our moneys worth out of it. However it also is not in any way shape or form a tablet, and lacks many features a true tablet would have.

I really want one of these. I'm a teacher so it would definitely get used. Also would be great for a high school or college student.
