If you have issues getting the seeds out, I picked these up a while ago. It goes inline with your siphon hose and I got the smaller mesh to get out things like pulp or seeds. Works great.

Some things I see that you could do are:

  1. Filter, with something like an inline filter.

  2. Rack all the junk into your keg and use a dry hop screen over your dip tube

  3. Rack all the junk into your keg and use a floating dip tube that won't pick up the junk.

  4. Rack all the junk into a keg, cold crash, then rack the clearer stuff into another keg (you'll probably have to trim the dip tube or use option 2 or 3 above).

  5. If you have the equipment to chill and pump glycol, you could wrap your fermenter with this glycol jacket.

  6. Bag your hops next time when you dry hop.

In general you do not filter homebrew beer. You need a plate filter and filter pads. People sell inline coarse-sediment filters (e.g. "The Bouncer"), but the need for them can be avoided by careful racking and not putting the cane tip in the yeast cake.

Here. Buy a blue screen for it. The red one isn’t fine enough.

I think this is a better option for a pocket Randall

Hey I just came across a solution for this problem in a video by the Mad Fermentationist . He uses an inline bouncer filter while transferring. I may order one and see how it goes!
