I got pretty severe wrist issues around the time when Overwatch was released. After a while, I stopped gaming almost completely and it got better after a few weeks. In the upcoming 6 months or so I still sometimes felt pain after long gaming sessions but even that stopped eventually.

The best cause of action is to stop playing games for a while and if it doesn't get better go to a doctor. This kind of thing is very rarely permanent and will mostly go away on its own or with very little medication.

Don't just google your symptoms and assume stuff like an idiot. Every symptom humanly imaginable is somehow an indicator of a serious medical condition. So don't panic when you read stuff on the internet. An untrained person is simply unable to interpret these symptoms correctly.

You may also want to work on your sitting posture. Hand/Wrist pain is often caused by an unhealthy back position. I also got myself a wrist wrap similar to this one. Helped me a ton to keep my wrist in a stable position and avoid unnecessary movements since it's fairly difficult to keep your wrist motionless during basically any activity.

I always recommend this one for use on the job. A normal glove fits over it easily, and you can slip off the thumb part to wash your hands without taking the whole thing off.

The medical supply store suggested I check out a local rehab/prosthetic/etc specialist for other options, but this one works fine.

I use this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005BI6J8I/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1421791864&sr=8-3&dpPl=1&dpID=41RJeKogg9L&ref=plSrch&pi=AC_SX200_QL40
I also use KT tape, but towards the end of class it just gets too sweaty/grabbed too many times to stay on.

I can see why you're concerned, with the previous injury and the shaking/numbness. If you're worried about carpel tunnel, in the meantime you can try wearing one of these when you type and at night. Make sure you get a splint (example, not a recommendation), and not just a wrap. It's more fun if you make up a good story to go with it though ("I busted mah wrist hitting this jerk in the face!").
