These things are one of the best options. They're made just for our purposes, holding a specific temperature, for long periods of time.


It just needs to be wired into a controller, a lamp dimmer switch works fine, and will hold right at 110f, or about 105f oil temp inside chamber.

Or you can go even further and get a digital controller for dork's food via think geek iirc, but those are a bit more.


These things beat the fuck out of amateur-hour griddles, which aren't made for 36+ hour operation and are doomed to fail.




Reptile pads work, but they're not as consistent on the temperature, they'll have shorter life, and they may not hold 100f if the ambient temperature is cool.
