Does anybody know if their Laredo model is any good? They are smaller and only $14.95 on Amazon here
The California Headphone Company has their Silverados and Laredos for really cheap. They used to go for $150 and $100 respectively, but I think the company is moving on to iPad cases.
so... wow they have the laredo model for 15 bucks 96% off apparently so for 20 bucks with shipping I just snagged a pair of those, hell I spend more than 20 bucks on lunch some days geesh

I have been looking to purchase headphones since my ath m50 became unusable due to the earpads getting completely torn and worn.
Looking around in my home-country, Sweden, has yielded the result that the ATH M40x might be the most Bang/buck, for around 900 sek or 130 usd. However, upon looking around Amazon, i found "California Headphone Co." with their Silverado and Laredo offerings. Upon looking up reviews, they were very well recieved, and that was for their original price, now being reduced by 80%. For about 900 sek, i can get both the Laredo and Silverado, as well as replacement earpads for my ATH M50, including shipping to Sweden via MyUS.com, since the Laredo and Silverado won't ship from Amazon. My question is therefore, would this be something my fellow headphoneiacs would be willing to fiddle with, for the value of one more pair of headphones as well as new pads for my ath m50s?
I listen to a lot of different kinds of music, but mostly metal along with it's subgenres, and rock, with more "pop" song sometimes showing upon on my playlist. Eventually, i might purchase a NuForce uDAC-2, for use with the ath-m50s and Silverados if that's the case, whereas the Laredos will be used on my phone.
In short, is it worth it?
