These look similar to the "newer" thumb sticks, but I'm not too sure, I would personally try for Another controller overall, I'm not sure why these thumb sticks seem so rare. I hope I was of some assistance.

What about game themed controllers? They're not cheap, but if you're struggling for ideas, these might be a fun gift. They're also the actual Microsoft controllers and not that 3rd party junk.
