My best guesses would be a Breitling Colt Skyracer, or like the other guy said maybe a Luminox Navy Seal model like this or this. Also, the more I look at it, the more it starts looking like this Casio.

Casio absolutely dominates the market at the very low end. They make very cheap watches that are still quality timepieces. Some suggestions...

Oooh, this is a fun challenge.

  • Knife: Spyderco Dragonfly 2 : $49

This is the most expensive item on my list, but I figure that with knives this is the best small EDC knife you can get for the money. I'm not a fan of large knives for daily carry, and the Dragonfly gets the job done.

  • Watch: Casio Men's Sport Analog Dive Watch : $17

While I initial thought was the F-91W, this watch seems to have far better water-resistance for roughly $7 more. Plus I prefer analog watches.

  • Wallet: Magpul Industries Daka Polymer Wallet : $17

While I've never used one of these personally, why not take the loss of all my stuff as an excuse to pare down how much bullshit I carry in my wallet? Reviews (outside of Amazon) seem pretty good and I'd love to give this thing a shot.

  • Multitool: Atwood Prybaby Chinese Knockoff : $3

I like having one of these kinds of dumb little multitools handy for prying and bottle-opening and other random tasks that I wouldn't want to abuse my knife with. At only $3 it's worth the space in my budget and my keychain. Speaking of keychains...

  • Keychain: Stainless Steel Aircraft Cable Keychain : $2

If you're like me, you often have to add and remove keys and other items from your keychain. Wire/cable keychains are the friggin best for this. I generally prefer the ball-and-socket types rather than the kind that screw closed, but I'm counting my dollars here.

  • Writing Utensil: Pilot G2 0.5mm (12-Pieces) : $10.75 per 12, ~$1 per ea.

I can't stand pens that use caps, and nothing writes as well for me as the Pilot G2. 0.5mm is about as fine a line as I want to get because the 0.38mm ones tend to get a bit scratchy on most paper. And if you'll allow me to count the cost as only a dollar rather than the price of a twelve-pack...

  • Bonus Round: Kingston Digital 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive : $9

With a few extra buck open in the budget, I realized that I've had one of these on my keychain for about as long as I can remember, and it pays to have one handy with a copy of your choice of documents, music, and other media. Super handy to keep available at all times.

    --

My total price for these tools puts me at $98, assuming the cost of only one pen. I assumed that I would be able to keep my phone, which provides me with enough illumination that I've never bothered with carrying a dedicated flashlight outside of the colder months when I'm usually wearing a coat. So I didn't bother with choosing one for this challenge. Anyone have any good suggestions for AAA, clicky tail-button flashlights under $20?

I bought this one for the LSAT. It's cheap and 100% fine.

u/ihavequestionsx · 4 pointsr/LSAT

I purchased this: http://www.amazon.com/Casio-MRW200H-1BV-Black-Resin-Watch/dp/B005JVP0LE/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1459104684&sr=8-7&keywords=Casio+watch

The watch has a dial that you can turn to set 35 minute intervals. Plus, it's nice enough to wear after the LSAT.

[may not look like much] (http://www.amazon.com/Casio-MRW200H-1BV-Black-Resin-Watch/dp/B005JVP0LE/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1425311466&sr=8-8&keywords=casio+men%27s+watch), but I've had it for 2+ years on jobsites and off, and it keeps ticking. My favorite watch I've owned. And it if breaks, I'm out $25.

This is the one I use. Easy to read, I've had no problems with it. Glows in the dark too if you are working the night shift

u/turdbogls · 3 pointsr/Watches

i picked up the white dial version of this casio so I'd have something for my trip to the mountains next week.

edit: just adding here. bezel is a friction bezel (no clicks) and multi directional...so not great. the lume is terrible (dont count on it). It's quartz, so its accurate and ticking is not loud, day/date is a PITA to set at first...other than that though, great beater watch for $15

supposidly has 100m water resistance....but its build of solid plastic. 43mm, plastic/rubber strap, easy to read, rotating dial, day/date. its the perfect beater IMO. I expect it to get banged up and scratched to hell. if it makes it out of the mountains I'll be happy...if not, I only lost $15.

my only wish was that it had a regular lug setup. IIRC its like 18mm spring bars, but the actual width is closer to 22mm. I'd just like to put it on a Loop strap so if a spring bar did let lose, i'd still have the watch...but again...$15

u/Aevum1 · 3 pointsr/Watches

Its plastic/resin,

you can use a fine grit abresive pad to remove the scratches, but in 99% of the cases you´re also going to remove the paint,

As for the crystal, a quick wipe with diamond paste can buff out any superficial scratch,

It looks like a beater, and retail price on that watch is currently 17 bucks + delivery.

My advise ? any scratch removal technique or repair will cause more damage then then good, and it goes against everything i believe in but... buy another one for special occasions (hell, even spend a bit more and get a metal one) and keep that one for occasions when you know its going to take damage.

u/The_Dark_Kniggit · 3 pointsr/Watches

Its a cheap Chinese quartz watch with a generic movement. You get what you pay for, so it might run for less than a month or it might run for a few years. It's almost certainly not waterproof and the sub dials don't do anything, and are probably painted on. You would probably be better off with something like this or this. This search will help you find more.

u/PhDtoJD · 2 pointsr/LSAT

You can keep it on the table. My proctor confiscated my watch because it had a date display.

Sorry, the current watch is an analog style Citizen Eco-Drive. Here's a link to it on Amazon.

Over the years, I've had (& killed) a half dozen Casio's. Some were digital, some were analog ... none were G-Shocks.

If I were to buy a cheap Casio dive watch today, I'd probably check out this one or this one and of these two, I'd probably choose the latter, as it has a 200m rating instead of 100m and its been my impression that Casio's depth ratings have gotten less robust over the years.

EDIT: the lady's version of the Citizen that I'm using now can be found here

People are sugggesting the cheap Casios which are fine, but I would avoid the F-91W because it has buttons which saltwater/sand can jam. I use this one instead.

I bought a similar Casio. I'm rough on them. Mine has lasted a while. I figured for $10-$15 it would have stopped working or I would have broken it--and I wouldn't mind. Now I feel I'm playing with house money.

This is the one I got:

This is also a decent option if you want to spend even less. It's nothing extraordinary, but it's just as waterproof and weighs less. It's the other watch I wear in the pool. I bought it when it was under $10 on amazon, because why the hell not at that price, so I'd recommend keeping an eye on it and snatching one up at least as a backup or just to mix things up a bit when the price goes back down around $10.

Loved this Casio - the little dial around the face was great because you could just turn it to align with whenever the section started and really easily see how many minutes had passed

Another option:

I use this watch. I rotate the bezel so that the 35 is at noon. Then before each section I set the actual time to 11:25. (It’s easier than rotating the bezel) I find this method extraordinarily helpful and easy to use.

This is actually a great watch that fits your criteria. I use it as a swimming/beater watch. It looks way better than it's price and you can use the bezel as a timer.

I've worn this watch every day for 5 years. It's a little scratched, but not bad. Only $15 and has endured countless layouts. I can whole heartedly recommend this watch.

I have this little thing that I bought for about $15 at the time just to have an analog watch that also had 24 hr time on it. I thought I would have it for a few months. I have now had it for a few years and it has outlasted several much more expensive watches.

They may not be as preferred here as many other brands since they're not automatics, but I think everyone respects Casio, and has probably owned one at some point. You'd be hard-pressed to find a watch company that packs as much value and as many features into a quartz watch as Casio does, and their Edifice line excels at doing that while looking attractive to boot.

To me, they represent the democratization of watches more so than any company, even Timex. Not everyone can afford a Rolex or Hamilton, but anyone with ten bucks to spare (Heck, you can pick up a dive watch for $16) can afford a good, reliable Casio.

u/foozybear · 1 pointr/Watches

Not exactly small, but this seems to fit the bill, otherwise there's this you can get a strap for it with the money left over. I tried to find a diver's watch because it seems to be what you were looking for. I don't recommend invictica normally, I'm fairly weary of them but your budget is fairly tight but you can check this, out be cautious and do you homework when dealing with invictica. There's also this and that. You may also want to consider this.
