*Me looking at the third photo*: "Huh, that looks like a tretinoin glow."

*Looks at routine in comments*: "Yep." 馃槀

All jokes aside, you look amazing! So glad you've found a routine that works.

If you're looking to try a different moisturizer, I recommend CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream. Like the First Aid Beauty one, it has dimethicone, shea butter and ceramides, but unlike that one, it has niacinamide (which is an anti-inflammatory that can help with redness), and hyaluronic acid which is great for hydration/plumping. BUT, it does not have the colloidal oatmeal which you might be enjoying. Just something to think about to try. I'm on tret cream and have been putting it on at night to a wet face and it does wonders for hydration.

Zinc can also help with redness, so maybe look for a sunscreen with this.

Here is a Dr. Dray video she just came out with about redness skin care, maybe check that out for some more info. 馃槉

There's actually a night cream that isn't the one in the picture :)

These two things have saved my skin. Safe in pregnancy too! And I use the CeraVe foaming face wash

Hi! Thanks to this sub I started a daily routine about 8 months ago and it has calmed random breakouts and things down a LOT. <3.

The stats:

  • 30s F in southwest US (super dry, super sunny)
  • Rosacea/oily skin
  • lots of SF/closed comedones (but super not even ready to deal with that yet)
  • Routine:
    • AM: splash with water, moisturize with Neutrogena Oil-Free and then Elta Sunscreen
    • post-workout (at least once, sometimes twice/day): wash withCeraVe Foaming Facial Wash and moisturize again with Neutrogena
    • PM: CeraVe night cream

      The first problem:

      - I'm noticing that my skin, especially around my cheekbones is really dry and so a lot of fine lines have appeared over the summer. I'm guessing I need to add way more moisturizer at various spots. I work out a LOT, and there's a LOT of sweat and other people dirt (rolling in jiu jitsu) and so don't really feel like I can wash my face less. But I'm not sure what to do. I have a few big forehead wrinkles too, so if I could address both in one pass, that would be delightful.

Thanks again, y'all. This sub is the best.

So I've been on spironolactone for about a month, and birth control for the last four. I don't get the acne I once did (mostly cystic) but the hormonal stuff around my jaw still hasn't completely gone away.

Here's my routine, folks:

------------------------------

Morning:

Cerave hydrating micellar water

Rinse

LaCura hydrating facial cleanser

Rinse and pat dry

Ponds correcting cream (just started this)

Cerave daily moisturizing lotion

Biore UV Perfect Face Milk SPF50+, PA++++ (but since I now know this has alcohol in it, I will be switching to La Roche-Posay's ultra-light fluid SPF 60 when it gets in)

------------------------------

Night:

Same as morning minus sunscreen

Baebody eye gel

Cerave skin renewing night cream

------------------------------

For the last couple months I have been using TO's AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution once a month for roughly ten minutes. Then I follow with my night routine minus the micellar water.

Do I need more exfoliation? Is there a serum I am missing? I drink water all day long! PLEASE HALP. Nothing seems to make my skin more even.

Don't put aquaphor on your face. Its really too thick and meant for your lips or dry patches on your body. I would suggest the CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream as night moisturizer.
