Well, the Ducky is the Zero you mentioned not being able to find.

How about this? Or this?

the thickness of the keyboards comes from the switches. the cherry mx board 3.0 is fairly thin for a mechanical. it isn't tkl though

You can pick up reliable rubber dome boards for less than that. Save the money and put it towards a keyboard you'll love.

Not the dream keyboard, but the one that you love to use until you can justify the dream keyboard.

Reliable rubber domes: One two

Save to buy one of these: One two

Tell yourself that one day you'll pick up one of these: cherry 6.0

Or maybe something else is the dream keyboard.

You are better off asking or searching in /r/mechanicalkeyboards

There is this one made by Cherry with MX Reds: http://www.amazon.com/MX-Board-G80-3850-Keyboard-Layout-Lasered/dp/B00H4IKUAG

Probably some others out there...

You could add the Cherry MX Board 3.0 to the < 100 $ list. You can get it with Blue / Red / Brown Switches and it's currently one of the (if not the) cheapest mechanical keyboard you can get, and it's really good. Simple but effective.

Edit: nvm, it's almost exactly 100$. Link:

I'm looking to get a custom caps lock keycap with an off center post. Does anyone know somewhere I could get what I'm looking for?

I have this keyboard with these keycaps. I'm thinking it might be a tall order for a single keycap with those colors.

Thanks!!!

I'm debating between two keyboards, Cherry G80etc and Ducky Zero. I'm drawn to these two keyboards because they're no-frills and gimmick free, but do have dedicated volume keys - precisely what I'm looking for. Can anyone attest to the build quality of either? For what it's worth, the cherry looks as though it has less travel distance and I'm used to the (discontinued) Sidewinder X4, so that transition may be easier.

Cherry has a keyboard

As does Rosewill

Neither have backlighting, but both are ~$80.

Hello, I've been planning to get a new mechanical keyboard for a while now, and I've found 2 deals. Which one should i choose? Which one is better if im going to be playing games like these? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhxCWPWVdwc
https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Mechanical-GK-FORCE-K83-RED/dp/B01BMJ0Y4O or https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H4IKUAG/ref=twister_B01I6DJT7C?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Please help me decide :)
You can also recommend me some, but i doubt most of them will be available in my country, and shipping from US costs 20$~
