I checked their website and they had a video from last summer where they were working on a way to connect the Elite wirelessly to the PS4. But nothing has released yet. I might buy a PS4 when it comes out.
What kind of wireless controller; if it's Xbox one then plugging it in will literally work, if you want to keep wireless

Never use a controller you don't like. Due to an arthritic issue, I can't use dualshock controllers. This is a little pricey and you'll need to keep the controller wired, but I think it's worth it.

Well, the more complicated options involve literally soldering new hardware into your console, which is probably not the best idea for users who aren't too familiar with the setup. Alternatively you can look into 3rd party hardware extensions like the CronusMax as seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdVOSpmUx9g
On a side note, I haven't personally used 3rd party hardware connections so I'm not the best source of reviews for products like the cronusmax but you shouldn't have issues finding reviews online.
