Hide any wires you can. Those you cannot, run them like a grid.
You could use non destructive cable clips if you want.
One thing I have always wanted to try is using a mouse bungie, it sounds kind of dumb but I think it would work well

edit: my form of cable managment is to attach a command wire loop to my keyboard in the blank spot near the arro keys and just run the cable safely over my keboard, it never gets in they way or hits my keys, BTW I have a G910 fullsized

Don't get the hooks. You definitely want Command Strip clips. I've ran Ethernet with these lots of times. They are usually available at any office store or Target.

They also have some that are made for chords, but they're a little more expensive. I'm guessing the ones the OP linked will do just fine though.

This forum supposed to be for electricians of the type that do wiring for homes/buildings with outlets for devices. The sidebar also talks about rules for doing things compliant to code. Hacking together a battery tender (what is that 12 v and 2 amps?) to an extension cord isn't really what this place does.
However, couldn't you just get a long extension cable and use some 3m command hooks to run it up from a workbench, along the ceiling, and then dangle it down from the ceiling ? You can use a zip tie or one of those velcro cable ties to wrap the dangling end up in the air when needed.
