I used a silicone mold with castin' craft polyester resin (which requires a respirator mask). I think having a higher quality silicone mold helps. My first keys had more bubbles (blue-purple key) and I lost a few to bubbles on the sides. Pouring more slowly helped with the other keys. I was also looking into mica and other mineral powders. I will be trying that next! Let me know how it goes for you.

I don't know. I would hate to do that to you. I'm trying a new mold making goop since I need the pourable kind and usually do a more putty like one. I'm using this stuff so honestly, I don't know how much cheaper mine will turn out than the one you saw online. I am also not fast about things, I carved the bar about three weeks ago and still haven't molded. Let me see if I have this down right and then we'll talk. It might be the easiest thing to do is send you a bar that's been molded and you can take it from there. :D

If you're using green stuff as a mold and as a medium, I'd recommend a silicone mold and 2-part epoxy kit. Been thinking about this too for all the tankbusta bombs I'll need! Links to amazon below.

In truth, the little bolts will likely never turn out very well, as that's a common place for air bubbles. But the kits below work for all sorts of stuff, and quite a bit better than green stuff. The epoxy also cures in like 10 minutes.
