Reddit reviews Crispy M&M's Large Bag (L - 255g, 1 Bag)

Yo /u/McRawffles. I was inspired by /u/LutzExpertTera last Friday, and ordered some Crispy M&M's from Germany. Here's my review as a fanboy of the original.

First, they're good. Damn good. But very different from the original. The chocolate is noticeably different. It seems to follow the basic trend of European vs. American chocolate. It's geared towards the more-milk/less-sugar flavor profile. Also, it tastes like it has a strong note of hazelnut.

So when I first popped a handful into my mouth, it was a different experience. Not as sweet as American style (which compensates with sugar for the reduced cacao percentage), but after more experimentation, I came to like these just as much on their own merit.

Notes, some of the colors will be slightly off. One out of fifteen M&M's will have the color of a shitty Easter egg. Also, I ordered the same size bag as I linked, and it was much smaller than I thought it was going to be. It's not like marijuana. 255g isn't bulk.

So, Crispy M&Ms are still being made and sold in Europe, Australia, and Asia.

Apparently there's an Amazon retailer that sells them too, imported from Germany--where I guess they're popular enough to continue production of them.

I also loved them so I might eventually order some. One of the reviews complained they're not refrigerated so they might melt if you order them during the hot summer FWIW.
