THose all appear to be cable ends for DIY not what I would call an adapter. I was hoping for a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter similar to

but with the locking plug. What you linked is not that. Thank You though.
Here are some amazon prime eligible products that I found.

I bought one of these 3.5mm to 2.5mm jack adapters that will let you use any standard 3.5mm to 3.5mm aux cable with the headphones and doesn't limit you to a very narrow selection of wires that you can use. I'm not really sure if it will fit because, but it should judging by the picture/size. You can also buy this exact same one off eBay for less than $0.99 but it takes a month to get.
I'm probably use a more durable tangle free cable when I get it, I'm not a huge fan of the cable that it comes with, ever since I first got mine, I knew that the cable it came with wouldn't last long.
I ordered this adapter:

One of the channels tends to cut out if the cable moves. Nor sure what is going on. I took the locking ring out. If I use Sennheiser's cable, I have no problems whatsoever.
Since I got SHP-9500s, I don't really use the my HD-558s any more. The SHiPs have a standard 3.5mm jack, so I just use the Boom Pro with those.
I use SHiPs+Boom Pro on my cell phone for all my conference calls. Super comfy.
Asides from a BoomPro, you'll need a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter (this is the one I used: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CXX8748).
Pull off the earpad on the side where the cable is.
Take off the four screws to remove the driver (take it off carefully because it's still attached to the cup).
Take off the two screws holding down the circuit board that the wire connects to, take off the two screws holding down the plastic locking mechanism thing.
Completely remove the locking mechanism.
Reinstall the two screws holding down the circuit board.
Reinstall the driver and reinstall the four screws holding it in place.
Put the pad back on.
Plug 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter into headphones.
Attach V-Moda BoomPro.
Here's a video of someone doing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1uM6I2nlhM
It's really easy to do.
I actually modded my HD598's today to remove the twist lock mechanism. You can then use an adapter like this with the V-MODA BoomPro Mic.
Edit: And here's how to mod them, if you're interested in doing it too:
http://www.head-fi.org/t/541039/sennheiser-hd-598-impressions-thread/2700#post_9752345
Better off doing the foam mod, removing the locking mechanism, and getting this adapter and this mic
In all, the mods take 10 minutes to complete and the end result is literally the best gaming headset on the market.
Try something like this for your HD598.
http://smile.amazon.com/Exclusives%C2%AE-Adapter-Converter-Headphone-Earphone/dp/B00CXX8748/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1451299229&sr=8-7&keywords=2.5mm+to+3.5mm+adapter
That may fit in the M50x (it fits in the HD598s if you remove the silver ring in the ear cup) and will allow you to use a V-MODA BoomPro. If they don't fit in the proprietary locking mechanism that the M50x use, then I think you may be SOL.
Is it possible to use a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter to connect a Boompro Mic to a pair of ATH M50x
Isn't the sennheiser plug just 2.5mm?
Wouldn't something like this work for the boompro?

this one works
Just grab one of these, along with a BoomPro.
