This is a pretty good one. It feels almost like a nice smooth medium nib fountain pen on a Rhodia dotpad. The only ballpoint I have laying around is a Schneider Slider Edge, and on normal copy paper it feels really close to the Apple Pencil on this screen protector. In other words, there's still very little scratchiness or feedback on the iPad with the Pencil, but it doesn't feel like it's sliding off the screen when you write with it.

A matte screen protector is nice too. A little more friction helps my unsteady hand. I have this one and have been happy with it. I actually use a matte tempered glass screen protector. in the past, someone took my ipad and dropped it face down, shattering the entire screen, and since then I don’t use film protectors. But i still wanted something matte since i’ll be using this 90% for notes and 10% for entertainment so I got this screen protector on amazon which I love!

Why not one of the matte glass screen protectors? The glass part is what would protect the device the best...
