I know it seems silly when most ear buds are like 10 dollars, but something like [this] (http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Innovations-Nest-Earbud-Case/dp/B00CBKBD44?th=1&psc=1) keeps them in good shape for a long time.
TBH something like this would be better because the one I have is made out of shitty cheap plastic and is falling apart, and also earbuds with inline remotes don't fit, and neither does anything larger than the holes.
I use this. Its a cool little case for headphones. It's always better to keep your headphones in a case to keep from damaging the cables (and avoiding the tangles). Really easy to put them away.
