My model is older thought. Yes, I for sure recommend. It is cordless, powerful, and works great in my little apt. No complaints.

Hahaha! I have a rough rawhide mallet that I rub myself with after the shop cat get his daily dose of affection. That hammer is surprising effective at removing pet fur.

But really, if you are looking to clean up your act, making chores as easy as possible is the way to go. We found that getting a cordless vacuum, like this Dyson V6 Animal, made pet fur removal much less of a chore. It's always ready to de-fur any surface and there is no cord to slow ya down. You can probably find them on Craigslist for around $100. The amount of crap it'll suck out of your carpet will make you go "yuck".
