I have two vacuums. I use this Electrolux Cordless Vacuum that I use 2-3 times a week on our hardwood floors (LOVE the detachable hand vacuum). I also own this Shark Vacuum that I use once or twice a week on both our hardwood floors and in our one carpeted room. I've been pretty happy with this setup so far. The cordless vacuum is awesome for a quick spot job around the kitchen/living room!!

i wish i had known about this set up earlier. they essentially replicate the functions of a swiffer without generating as much waste. it's easier and faster which makes me clean more often. All the heads are machine washable but i've ended up buying two of each.
