Hi Alex. As far as dividing my time, I really just read the question over and then decided the likelihood I could solve it in a minute and a half. If I knew where the equation was for it in the manual and I knew that the math was straight forward I would just do it. If not, I would try to solve it quickly and if I couldn't I would mark it to solve at the end.
As far as solids and HW:
This one is expensive and very small in size. It consists of two practice exams and a brief explanation of the formulas used. It wasn't really a good tool to learn new material, but it has some good solid questions in it. I would suggest taking this timed and give yourself ~2 mins per question with only your manual to try and solve it. the biggest problem in studying for the environmental one is that there is so few resources available.

Everyone in my class used the former, and I have heard good reviews of the latter on this page.
