Thanks! It's definitely stable enough to write on, the downside is that pulling the top up is a bit tough. Unless I hold the rest of the table down, the whole thing comes up when I grab it. I'm hoping that the hardware loosens up a bit with use. I picked the lift mechanism up on Amazon.
