Thank you!

Few additions from even more noob (less than year), with good results:

If would be nice to add some instructions for changing water when Amazonia leaches ammonia or give waiting period until this finishes without it, it takes a lot of time.

Heaters should be adjustable (not everyone without experience with aquariums realizes this), temperature on the dial is not the same as temperature in the tanks, and external temperature controller could be necessary to keep it below 83F.

Why fairly dense planting, wood, rock or shrimp shelters: shrimp are vulnerable after molting and newborns have to have place to hide.

Low light planted tank with these plants has to have low lighting, or there could be nuisance algae issues, that could be solved by reducing light intensity. Planted Tank subreddit can help.

Kind of remineralizer for RO water: GH+ for bees and crystals (soft water caridina) and GH/KH+ for neocaridina (rcs) and tigers.

KH zero for bees is not adjustable, it's absent. This usually raises a lot of questions from newbies, active substrate keeps pH stable. pH depends on choice of substrate, ADA Malaya and Africana are too acid.

pH for neocaridina and tigers: do not adjust pH, it's connected to KH that keeps it stable.

Now it dawned on me that all of this rather confusing and giving an idea about constant changing parameters in the tank instead of creating optimal for species water by using proper for them remineralizer and concentration and do not mess with water parameters one by one.

What TDS is is unknown nor newbies and that it can be measured by hand-held TDS meter, calibrated with 342 ppm calibrating solution.

And that instructions on (at lest Salty Shrimp) remineralizer are for conductivity meter, in microsiemens, twice more than ppm for TDS meter. Even experienced fish keepers missed this part and made 300 ppm TDS water.

If tap water, it should be suitable for species, tap water is not the same for people, living over limestone, and for living in New York City. Test or find GH, KH, pH, TDS online for your municipality.

Neocaridina can live in the tank with tropical temperatures and was getting noticeably less active at 20-21C for me.

RO setup and why it is necessary:

If there are unexplainable problems in the tank, and everything didn't help, switching from tap to RO water could solve them (as it did for me). More expensive than using tap water.

RO water could be bought in water dispensing machines in some stores or reverse osmosis filtration unit could be installed at home. RO filter units are available in hardware stores like Home Depot in North America, any with solid carbon core prefilter (carbon block) for chloramines is fine. Cartridges are cheap, large, and last for long. Installation instructions are in manual and online.

Purified water should be collected in the water storage container at least 10% of the tank volume.

Then there is mixing container, with air stone.

What is feeding dish, how it looks like, most convenient kind, what substitutes could be used, why it is necessary.

What is leaf litter and general rules for a feeding: feed as much as shrimp could eat in 1-2 hrs, remove uneaten food, adjust amount of feeding next time. I feed 2 times a day, pico tanks and small nanos.

Mineral stones should be checked if they affect GH, KH and pH.

How easy shrimp keeping is: do search of Shrimp Tank subreddit for shrimp die, dying, died. But eventually we will learn to keep them alive and well.

dish

tube, but the included dish was cracked upon arrival. I didn’t worry about it since I was just after the smaller-diameter tube

I don't own one, so I'm not sure if that is the best option on amazon but that at least gives you an idea of what I'm talking about.
