   Palace of the Dead is a randomly generated dungeon that you do 10 floors at a time. It uses an independent leveling system, so the levels you gain inside the palace don't directly affect your levels outside the palace. After each set of 10 floors is completed, you gain a large chunk of experience towards that class (Between levels 30 and 50 you will gain upwards of half a level worth of experience for one set of 10 floors).
   
   You can choose to go in as just the two of you alone, or if you can get matched up with two other random people to go in as a party of four. There's no particular benefits of going in with less than four people, but you'll still be able to clear it for the most part.

On Amazon, when searching for Stormblood I saw a "Complete Edition" launching at the same time. I'd download the free trial for now, and preorder that.

A Realm Reborn is the base game (2.0).

Heavensward is the first expansion (3.0), you cannot purchase it separately, as the second expansion Stormblood (4.0) comes with Heavensward.

You want to either buy the complete edition, or A Realm Reborn and Stormblood.

My recommendation is to buy everything on Amazon for $40. Steam will be $60 and any future expansions will be more expensive on there and you will have no choice but to continue buying on steam.

First off, have you played the trial yet? it's unlimited duration, but you are limited to level 35 on any class. if not, don't buy anything yet, play the trial.

you should buy ARR and Stormblood, as Stormblood includes all Heavensward, or buy the "Complete edition" That includes everything, but this will not be available until the 20th.

Edit: TL;DR: free trial, ARR+Stormblood if you get to level 35 before the 20th, otherwise just get the complete edition. Also don't get the steam version.

No; you can be a girl, but to get a dick you need to use mods. I use a mod that turns "The Emperor's New Breeches", an item you can use to transform other legwear to look as if you're not wearing it, into the futanari legs model; the regular unequipped character model is just a nude mod.

Shadowbringers, the third expansion, is coming on July 2. If you're interested, FFXIV plays very similarly to World of Warcraft.

ARR is the base game, not an expansion. Stormblood will include Heavensward. So, to have the full game, you'd need ARR + SB. This is bundled in the Complete Edition.

You don't need expacs right away to enjoy the game, but the value of buying it all at once makes it a decent proposition. It looks like Amazon still has it for $48 with Prime.

Stormblood (the new expansion) includes both itself and Heavensward (the first expansion), the base game is separate.

There is also a complete version of the game available, which includes everything. I'm not entirely sure if you can upgrade a trial account to that - I don't really have any idea how it works.

I mean it won't matter too much if she is gonna purchase the game anyway, might aswell do it on the account and character she first started.

The patch in itself will still take a bit of time most likely.

But to answer the question, as I did not purchase any discs for my PC version (the only discs I own are for PS3 & 4 versions of the game):


1: You will not need the disc in your pc at all times, it just needs to be installed using the disc. I know some companies require it (EA comes to mind) but I don't believe it should be the same here. If someone can prove me wrong on this due to firsthand experience, listen to them and not me.

If you're unable to get the complete edition, then there's a "starter" version available (with ARR) and then any copy of Stormblood should have Heavensward already on it. So at most, you will need 2 discs.

Hi, found the PC complete edition on sale and was wondering if returning players buy and use the Complete edition to unlock the 2 expansions? Will I get the 30 day subscription time? Or is it better to just get the expansions and then pay the sub separately?
