Fisher-Price BeatBo. We have the small version and I absolutely hate it but my daughter loves it. The small one we have stands about 5” and is so incredibly loud I’ve had to put multiple layers of tape on the speaker to make it a reasonable volume. I keep this toy hidden as much as possible.

This is awesome... So many great suggestions. I've already implemented a bunch of them last night and I'm sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner to tell you thank you! I actually got my wife a yoga ball for birthing but she had to be induced a month early and was on magnesium the whole time so out the window went those plans! BUT she did read a few things about using it with the baby... so I'll have to try! I'm a pretty tall guy, but I think I could swing that.

The mental aspect of your post was simply awesome.

>What has helped me to channel my frustration is changing my perspective. The child is new to this world, does not understand anything, is learning and reacts to its environment. But for me, the rationalization that I needed was that.... the child has no understanding of the world around, it does not know anything

Like I was literally in awe of the results. Perspective really is everything! I repeated some phrases over and over to help keep me calm and it really really helped. I've also written down the list here, even though I'm pretty in tune with his needs, just to have some other mental reinforcement of what I need to do. I do NOT need to hurt him, I need to help him. So something about seeing this list while I'm with him kinda reinforces my duties. I'm not sure if that's what you intended but it was helpful.

I don't know if you have used it but he LOVES Beatbo! It's that light up dancing and somewhat obnoxious little alien thing but the lights... he loves the lights. I would highly recommend it to any baby that likes lights. It's great.

The breastmilk on the shirt - does that really work? It sounds genius! I mean he regurges some stuff up ocassionally but I assume that will smell different than the fresh stuff.

Also, I know I've said this a lot, but thank you so much for all of your awesome suggestions and support! I really feel quite undeserving of all of this because I feel a little unwell (I know) right now (ya don't care) (sorry for the poor joke quality). But seriously though, thank you! You guys are simply wonderful!
